What I love about team of the year being a popularity vote- for the first time in my life I'm apparently 'popular'. What I'm not in love with... I've never voted a way cause I liked someone, I'm totally an issues gal. So it's all hard facts and logic for me when voting and I DID NOT vote for me. I got lucky and won the Grand Prix (and believe me I"m stoked about it) but it was not a good season otherwise. I've had better. Thanks though (I'm not really a ungrateful bitch.... well... ok, most of the time I"m not an ungrateful bitch). And now, because I wrote this, I am officially going to be late for work.

team of the year is a popularity vote... What you go on to describe after is not what a popularity vote is. It's an opinion based on performance. And that opinion should not change year-to-year arbitrarily - if you, as a voter, value GP wins, cool. Then any time a team wins the GP, they should get your vote. If you value holding 4 titles all season, then that team should get your vote consistently. There is no valuable reason to change WHY a team is the best every year on a whim. That was my initial point. Arbitrary means people are taking WHO is nominated into consideration, and if people are voting with a bias, I might as well save us all a whole week of time and just award the awards at the end of the season without a vote.

Sucks you might have been late for work.. The fact is, I don't care how everyone else voted, I felt that the Grand Prix is a big showcase for three significant fighters on every team to show the improvement of that fight team's camp. You excelled when you needed to and your fighters will only improve as you move forward with your club. The Grand Prix isn't just some shitty little gimmick at the end of the season, it's a big deal. The entire draft is based on it. You should be happy with your season. Everything else that is thrown around in this thread is just drivel. If you can't vote properly then maybe we should do auto-awards.

Then open the floor for the champs to fight non-title fights.

Then if they lose, people will want immediate title fights for the guy that beat them. Clusterfuck.

Then don't allow the Grand Prix to be part of the voting? This whole fucking thread is annoying the shit out of me because of the meaninglessness of all of it. Abolish the fucking awards already.

Kruze-esque PMS much? I just wanted people to be accountable for the inconsistent voting selection of team of the year each year. You did that. No one is saying you didn't. Take the gerbil out of your ass, bro.

Whatever. I'm just tired of popping on this site and seeing more and more complaining over absolutely nothing that affects anything except for bragging rights. Everyone has such a problem with it then dump it.

@michealadlred I totally get what you mean, sometimes I come on and everythign is this huge debacle. I'm cool with it if I'm in on the ground floor, but when you just come on and read a whole war it's hard to give a shit.
