I'm happy you saw a lot of his fights, and hopefully Cody can rebound.
For me, even McGregor doesn't feel legit yet. I feel like he's hyped to the heaven's, like they did with Rousey, but Rousey even didn't have the tools necessary and I blame her coaching on that front.
But McGregor hasn't defended anything.
It's EASY to win a belt. But it's fucking crazy hard to actually defend it. It's like what GSP was talking about. When you're the champ, everything is on you. It's on you to be and act like a champion, the pressure is on you to keep that belt, everyone is trying to kill you to get it.
Being an underdog until you aren't an underdog anymore is the easy part. Standing tall and taking names is the hard part. Hopefully the loss will help Cody learn and understand where he went wrong to improve.

As I'm getting more into MMA I'm starting to care less about mainstream fighters like Conor McGregor. I think Cody Garbrandt is one of my favorite fighters and I'll continue following him. I like Frankie Edgar and Francis Ngannou as well.

If you haven't already, go back and watch the Frankie Edgar vs. Gray Maynard fights. They were solid. (They were also a bit "omg this again?" but still good fights.)
