Fighters in Danger
More fighters then I would like are on 7+ fight losing streaks, and have not received an upgrade in many seasons, if ever. So next season, we'll be bringing a modified version of FiD back. Most of you don't have to worry about this, so just bear with me, as it sounds worse then it is.
- Once a fighter is on a 3 fight losing streak, they will be placed on the FiD list (Warning Level).
- If they recieve no subsequent upgrades/fine-tunes, and lose their next fight, they will be elevated to High Level.
- Once a figher is on high-level FiD, they must recieve 3 or more upgrades to be bumped down to Level 1 again. If their team has 10+ points banked, the team has 1 week to upgrade the fighter, or he/she becomes a free agent without any additional fights.
- If the fighters team has less then 10 points for the duration of their fighters time in High Level FiD danger, they have until the fighers next fight to deal with them. If he/she loses without any upgrades, the fighter is cut to free agency immediately. If the fighter wins, they are moved down to Warning level.

Important Notes:
- Once a fighter is placed on FiD, you will be tagged in the FiD thread. Even if by some chance you do not recieve this notification, as long as you were tagged, you are responsible for your Fighter in danger, so pay attention.
- As long as a fighter is on the ManMMA ranked fighter board, he/she is exempt from FiD. Once they fall off the top-15 rankings, any subsequent losing streaks count towards FiD.
- Capped fighters are not exempt from FiD as they have been in the past.
- If a fighter is cut via FiD, the fighter is removed from their team immediately, without compensation, and will be dealt with as deemed appropriate by staff (free agent, auction, draft, whatever makes sense...probably auctions).
- Win or lose, Grand Prix fights DO NOT count towards FiD.
- Trading a fighter does not re-set a fighters FiD level as it did in the past.
- Once a fighter reaches high level danger, teams do not get a point for releasing that fighter.
- Training camp has no impact on FiD, and does not count as a point spent towards upgrading.
- FiD will begin in full force with the start of next season, and will immediately include any current losing streaks.
Title Relinquishment
Since we have more than 1 way to build a winning team here, and more then 1 main prize to shoot for on this site, I want to handcuff people as little as possible. As such, unless there is some vehement opposition to this, we're probably going to start allowing those who want to to relinquish championship belts in order to bolster their Grand Prix teams. Though this is still in the "idea" phase, it will likely work as follows:
- If you choose to have a champion relinquish his/her title so they can compete in the Grand Prix, that fighter will be ineligible to fight for any championship for the entirety of the following season.
- When you relinquish a title, you also relinquish the point you earned for winning said championship.
- The SuperFight title may not be relinquished, as it has no effect on your Grand Prix participation.
- To relinquish a title belt in order to compete in the Grand Prix, you must submit your relinquish request BEFORE the 16th event of the season. Since I have to do a lot of clean-up work to accomodate these requests, this will be strictly enforced, so please pay attention.
- Starting next season, I will clearly label the N1C tournaments that are "Zenith qualifier" tournaments (the tournaments that, if you win them, you fight for the belt at Zenith). If you do not wish to be in these labelled tournaments, you must submit a request for removal from the tournament prior to the card being simmed. Otherwise, if your fighter wins the tournament, then the belt at Zenith, they will be ineligible for title relinquishment, and ineligible for Grand Prix competition.
- Unless something different comes up, the plan at this time is to determine a new champion via a single-event tournament, consisting of people who have never won a belt in that division before. This is subject to change, based on league schedule, needs, etc.
- Number 1 contender tournaments and earned #1 contender spots will not be affected, and will proceed as scheduled.
Injuries
I doubt anyone pays attention to this, but for those keeping close tabs, we've polished the injury durations, and made a cleaner, more succinct chart showing how long someone is estimated to be out for, and their earliest possible return. This cleans up a behind-the-scenes issue we had with injuries, technicalities, and Grand Prix eligibility.
- The Grand Prix counts as 1 event.
- In order for a fighter to be eligible for the Grand Prix, their "Return" date on the injury document must be listed as the 20th event of the year or earlier. Returning at event 21 means a fighter is out for the Grand Prix.
Since we have the data now, we are also toying with the idea that if someone is injured in the same way twice, they take longer to return after subsequent injuries to the same location. But we have not finalized this idea yet.
Fighter Skill Minimums
Since so many fighters are capped now, and there is less and less room to work within, starting next season, I'm going to lower the minimum level of a skill from 10 to 8. This will give people a little more space to work with when fine-tuning their fighters, if they so desire.
