sucks to be last place 2 seasons in a row It's the price that comes with having fighters one likes rather than top tier fighters. It takes a longer time to develop them and balance out the records. I'm really lucky I have so many good fighters, cause my Ben Askrens an Kyra Gracies hold me down a lot But that's the fun - having people ya like, right? BEN ASKREN SEASON 10 MW CHAMPION...right?

well I think next season i'll do better with having fedor and diego sanchez. just need to pimp em up abit and then i can go back to working on my lower ranked dudes. I have a lot of project fighters at the moment but not many reliable fighters. But I'm working on my team trying to make my whole team better.

Yeah, and at least with Diego, if you do NOTHING with that cat, he should still walk out of a full season with a winning record. He was jacked up pretty good by Ramrod. I said "Jacked UP". Pervs!

you only lost 2 spots. not that bad really but just need to do a bit better next season. Can someone tell me how my team had 42 fights this season and ferocity had 70 fights.. cannon had 92 fights? I understand some teams are larger then others but this seems like a huge difference.. Teams like Phoenix who do have a larger team I understand.. but Underdogs has 1 less fighter than me and he got 5 more fights then my team. I'm wondering if there is a way we can even out the fights a bit more for next season so that we can get a more even way of deciding who the beter teams are... if i had more fights it's possible i would have won more. For example if everyone got the same number of fights each season then you could look at the stats more comparitively and see who the best of the best was. The other thing is.. If all my fights are against nobody's then maybe i'll do better.. if i'm always fighting champions then maybe i lose al my fights.. All I'm saying is I think we need to look at the system and see if there is some better ways we can do things where it looks a bit more fair. I'm not complaining just trying to look at bettering the site.. if you disagree tell me to shut up and i will.

Can someone tell me how my team had 42 fights this season and ferocity had 70 fights.. cannon had 92 fights? Tournaments. When you win tournament fights, you fight back to back (up to 3 fights in 3 consecutive cards). Pending injury or training camp, every fighter on ManMMA is generally given 4 fights a season. There is the odd exception, but it looks like there were only 3 this season who did not hit 4 fights before the Grand Prix (Kelvin Gastelum, Ben Askren, Houston Alexander), but everyone else hit the 4 minimum. The tournaments are the big thing. You win a tournament (fighting at ManMMA 161,162,163), lose the title fight (ManMMA 168), win your next fight (ManMMA 173) then get into a tournament again and do well (ManMMA 177, 178, 179) you get a ton of bonus fights (totalling 8 on the season). I try to avoid that when possible, but in a weight class like LW, there are far fewer fighters, so a lot more repeat tournament guys. I'm wondering if there is a way we can even out the fights a bit more for next season so that we can get a more even way of deciding who the beter teams are... if i had more fights it's possible i would have won more. That's why we go by win percentage. Whether you have 9 fights or 90, percentage represents how well your team does most accurately. If we went by total wins, or by the +/-, that would make it more uneven.

If we went by total wins, or by the +/-, that would make it more uneven. Even the win percentage is affected by less fights.. more fights equals a better chance to have a higher percentage. less fights equals harder time to have a good percentage. Perhaps a cap on how many fights you can have in a season would help to even things out.

I can;t put a cap on how many fights someone gets in a season because of things like title fights (if someone earns a title shot, I can't put the weight class on hold because they reached their cap before their title fight). The bigger issue again comes down to less people in a weight class. Since people like HWs, there are more HWs, so HWs fight less. LWs, we only had 28 of this season, so all of them fought more frequently to keep the title picture moving, etc.
In terms of the math, the assessment here is not completely accurate. You do not have a higher chance at a better percentage if you have more fights. If you have less fights, it's true that each fight matters more, but it also means if you have 5 fighters and one of them goes 7-0 on the season, that alone will probably get you into the top 8 on the site. I broke down the math for this a few seasons ago when PHX had a similar complaint.
Your record is 5-5 (50%), you win your next fight, your % becomes 60% Someone elses record is 50-50 (50%), they win thier next fight, their % becomes 50.05%. So it works both ways - depending on your side in this argument, you can argue that it makes things unfairly easy too. But in the end, fight caps are not practical, and nothing is more fair than win percentage that we have explored. I am still open to further suggestions, but we can't implement things that do not work.
