One time in like, my first or second year, I was bored when my team had the puck in the other end, so I started people-watching in the stands. I watched this guys head slowly turn towards me, then realized it was because the other team iced the puck in my direction. It missed me (and the net) by about a foot. Was probably my most embarassing hockey moment.

I played on an Atom team that rotated players as goaltenders every once and a while so the goalie who play as a forward for a few games. I played in net during a tournament, and went to make a save, but road hockey style, I opted to be a stand up. I tried to reach down for a low shot with my glove and completely missed it. I looked like a stiff statue that wobbled slightly and was fucking terrible. We won 2-1, only because I'm pretty sure my team realized I was god awful and made sure I only faced maybe a dozen shots for the entire game. The rest of them were long-distance shots that I just stopped with the goal stick and then tried to shoot away.
After realizing I couldn't even handle the goal-stick good enough to throw the puck away, I opted to grab the puck with my blocker, and throw it every time I wanted to get it away from me.
TL;DR - I barely moved in net, and would throw the puck like a football down the ice.

Ok so for those of you that don't know i wear glasses... this is important because when I was playing as a goalie for the first few games of the season i was playing without my glasses... then i got prescription sports glasses and i got them tinted so that: 1) it would take the glare off the ice 2) I could use them also as sunglasses 3) It also blocks the other teams players from seeing my eyes so that they can't tell which direction i plan to defend... In my first game wearing them I had a referee who came up to me and looked into my eyes and asked if i was on drugs. I wasn't and I explained that they were prescription glasses and he said that he thought i was either on drugs or drunk. I told him no again.. this time he believed me.. same game I had 3 of the other teams players come up to me and ask why I was wearing sunglasses in the game.

lol that's pretty funny. i like how you can answer appropriately, but you have weird looking eyes, so you must be stoned lol who asks if someone is drunk with fucked up eye balls? that's really rude.

3) It also blocks the other teams players from seeing my eyes so that they can't tell which direction i plan to defend... As a fellow goalie, this statement both interested and confused me. You looked in the direction you planned to defend? Prior to the shooter planning where they were going to shoot/pass the puck?
