Team GrappleMuch is being dispersed. This auction, however, is just a "Game-changers" auction, consisting of these two:
Spencer Fisher (31-8) LW
Matt Hughes (36-26) MW
(the rest of his team will be available in the draft)
The "Game-Changers"
- If either fighter has multiple teams bidding, at close those teams with competing bids will be put into a weighted randomized lottery draw to determine who gets the winning bid.
- Lottery modifiers such as team record will add to lottery odds, so that terrible teams have a slightly better chance of winning the auction - much like the NHL Lottery each year.
- Quality of your bid is also a large factor, so don't stop bidding on game changers if there are multiple teams bidding. If you bid a 20-5, and they bid a 7-17, you will still have a notably better chance of winning the lottery.
- Regardless of the draw, 1 team will not get both fighters, so if you want to bid on more than one, please make it clear which one of them you would prefer should a draw come about so you don't get your second choice over your first.
- You may bid Grand Prix fighters in this auction, but the change will not be made until after the Grand Prix is completed. This is a season-ending auction, but I wanted it to be completed before we moved on with the draft so people could plan their draft strategies accordingly.
You may now begin. Auction closes at 5PM EST Monday, October 27 (2014).
Update: I forgot to include this, but it has always been true of our auctions here, I just forgot to add it here. "A team that releases a player to claim one of GrappleMuch's fighters may not claim that released fighter back again for 1 full season (20 ManMMA events)." This includes re-acquiring a fighter back via the draft. Can't do that.
