I don't read.... reading is boring.... i'm a visual learner I have an xbox and PS3 that i don't really play that often, except for NHL 12. Played Ice Hockey (Just finished my last year of "organized" hockey) baseball, lacrosse, soccer, ball hockey. I'm a simple guy, will talk about anything really. Movies wise i'm a comedy guy.... although I like action movies too. Cor99. Nuff said You played soccer at what level ?

Soccer goaltending is stupid. I remember the one year I played soccer, I was in net one game, and the team got a penalty kick. The only shot you have in hell is that the player chokes and shoots it STRAIGHT at you. Which is exactly what happened, so it turned out ok in the end. But as a hockey goalie, trying to be goalie in soccer just annoyed me.

because goalies don't cover the entire net with equipment?

Because the goalie has no real chance to stop the ball. It's guess work. If you have ever played real hockey goal, you know your equipment certainly does NOT cover the entire net, especially when you are 8-13, which is when I played. The puck is tiny, and shots come fast. Hockey is about positioning, reflexes, and LOTS of movement. Soccer goaltending is about watching a guys feet, guessing, and diving in your chosen direction. WHen you miss (which is often), you look like an absolute wanker.
