So, I was going through Facebook and I was looking at a few comments on UFC on Fox's page and I had this crazy idea.
What if I created a ManMMA Facebook page and used that to try and recruit new members? Do you guys think that would be a cool idea? Or are we all contempt with the amount of people there are on the site? I think it would be cool to add a few new people, but at the same time things could get crazy, but that's why I wanted to hear other people's ideas before I go through with it.

I don't know much about Facebook but it could be cool. If a lot of people showed up though would we still be asked to donate?

If a lot of people showed up though would we still be asked to donate? The original rules when the site was created was expansion draft. Donations were (and always have been) a way to avoid the need for an expansion draft. What that means is, depending on how many people join, each existing team would be allowed a certain number of "protects" (so if we went with 4 protects, you could protect 4 guys on your team). Any unprotected people would be available for the new team to draft from to create their team. Otherwise, without expansion or donation, new teams will have guys like Gan McGee as their best fighter, whereas some teams will have Chuck Liddell as their 3rd best fighter. You need to spread the wealth to keep people interested and keep the league competitive. |

I don't use facebook
I like when guys donate tho cause it gives them more control over who they lose. but I don think that many people will jkoin just cause of a facebook group but you never know we can limit registrations or something so we don't get 200 people or anything. I don think it matters or the site is making money off people or anything is it??

I don't think there's any legality of the site running since it's completely free, but UFC might go after proboards for using ads on the site, I have no idea. I doubt it.
