I can't speak for Cannon on this, but for me, this tournament holds no interest or excitement without any new fighters at all. You guys all wanted to see Normand and I throw down on this one but clearly neither of us had much interest in the fighters that were "listed". |

If you read all the interlude to this NXT, it was crystal clear that most folks wanted to see Phoenix FC vs. Camp Cannon because, even in Justin's own words, "it's what should've happened last NXT". I understand not allowing some, but the idea is to show new draftable fighters too not just the same old tired shit that's been sitting on the FA list season after season that no one wants. This easily could have been rectified by saying we were each allowed up to say 2 new fighters then pick the rest from the crappy list. That way he's not making 20 new fighters and it still keeps the actual participants involved, interested too. Win/win. |
