look im not trollin like cannon im being serious here.
I love bullies and underdogs but neither team has been on since may. I sent some trade offers and got to replies. cause neither has been on since may. its july. I want these guys around but they have some really big name son they teams to not sign in or reply to trades in 2 whole months which is like half a season aint it? chuck liddell gsp jose aldo randy couture Joanna joendyzyk bj penn cung le dan severn.
i want these teams to be active more than anything especially guys like bullies who i really like tho don't talk to. but at what point is it unfair to the rest of us when 5 of the best mma fighters of all time are on a team with 130 points who has not signed on in months when so many other teams could use legends? maybe free them up for the draft or something? i donno.

I would love for them to be active, as I want to have more members who are dedicated to the site, but it is unfair for them to be taking up potential Grand Prix spots and locking up fighters because they are never here. They've been tagged in points transactions as well, there's minimal activity, but if we did anything it absolutely should be an auction.

im ok with an auction... since plenty of time has passed. trying to communicate with them has failed. they are both currently not in a gp spot. but maybe auction off fighters but leave them with their points in case they come back.

That's pretty fair, imo. Because if they come back we'll likely do the donation thing again, and they'd have their points available for fighter purchases or upgrades etc. I like this idea too.

This is hard for me because someone like Bullies has been around (on and off) since we launched. He has volunteered many times to help out, and worked on taking over ML at one point. And Solberg is Solberg.
All of that being said, you guys are right. We need limits and not signing on since May is not really conducive to a quality site environment for everyone else.
------------
Some ideas on how I want to do this though: - if we disperse these teams, the point will be to flesh out everyone's current rosters. Not buffer and water them down. As such, we will likely be going auction route, and possibly even looking into roster limits again. This is a very reasonable time to push league numbers down a tiny bit, as it was a bit of a Tetris-struggle to get every fighter to 3 fights this season. - If we don't disperse them as part of the draft, in all liklihood as well, I will shave a round off of the draft as well. Again, not really a point in adding flash-in-the-pan Francis Ngannou's when GSPs or Chuck Liddells are being thrown around. - depending on how i feel, I might get this process started before the end of the season. But rosters are frozen, and any changes will come into effect after the Grand Prix.

I honestly don't have a problem with them having teams, despite the fact I've wanted GSP since I came to ManMMA. My only huge issue with them being this inactive, is that these teams are sitting on 100+ points because they've done virtually nothing for numerous seasons now and are still collecting 2pts every week.
TBH, what I'd do, and what I've sort of suggested before, is have a league escro points account where dispersed team's points are put in and, in this case, effectively "fine" these inactive teams for said inactivity. Then you have actual points you can giveaway for member contests, possibly give out a point or two more for winning the GP, mor for the top draft pick or extend that to the top two picks, for year end award, etc.

Yeah, I would much rather free up the actual legends to teams who are sitting on loser fighters who don't even belong here, shore up the total league numbers, and drop the crap from the league. Everyone wins, and the league is giving far fewer point hand-outs for no reason. WHole point always has been best of all time vs. best of all time. Freeing those guys up will help get rid of some of the crap floating around here. Or it won't, but the crap will have to fight un-neglected A-ranked fighters and probably end up FiD'ed out of the league naturally on their own.

Yeah, I know you would... and that was another reason we clashed on shit when we were trying to work together here. lol It wasn't cuz either of didn't want the best for the site... We both did and still do. It was the fact that you have your vision and I have mine. You've always viewed this as a "best of the best" senario where we should ONLY ever see Anderson Silva, GSP, Chuck Liddell, the Shamrocks, Gina Carano, Sarah Kaufman, Ronda Rousey (Ugh) etc. Whereas I've always viewed this as a fantasy senario where folks can see the guys or gals they've liked over the years, IRL champion or not, succeed here. To me, that's the fun part... Yeah I bitch about Gomi, Le, Johnson or whatever being champions, only cuz I don't like them IRL... Much like many of you don't like many of my fighters IRL too. lol Tough shit. And despite them not being on my team now, do you know how proud I am that Zingano & Eye are our current champions? I drafted them. YOU DIDN'T! So, I'm also, actually, happy guys like Rocketmen, Cannon & others are pissed off that fighters like Jason MacDonald & Sarah D'Alelio are as good as they are here in ManMMA. Are they champions here? No, not yet... But they're causing buzz... It's too bad that it turns negative many times, but I'll take the heel role... it's just that Cannon's too stupid sometimes to leave shit alone. Sorry folks. And I do mean that sincerely... Sometimes I react and not just act. That's on me though... Just saying.

Whereas I've always viewed this as a fantasy senario We did this with various forms of ML. Not enough people gave a shit to keep them running. Hence, actual ManMMA having standards. And, unfortunately for some, when Bullies and Underdogs are opened up, there's a good chance those standards will tighten up some. If "folks" don't like it, we can discuss bringing back ML for strange fantasy-league shit, where Dave Bautista, Sean O'Haire, Alberto del Rio, and Giant Silva can fantasy-battle over whatever strange fantasy shit people want to carry out.

No argument there... for the first part anyways, unfortunately. Just in the sense that folks just didn't care enough, even though we offered it. But that also negates the draft too if we go on that. No point having a draft if there's no new talent coming in. IMO Second part... The guys like you named there, even add CM Punk, I have no problem with them being in ManMMA, if they're actually developed. Doesn't need to be separate... Again, IMO.
