bixby looks in each mirror systamatically.. but only the mirrors that nobody has looked in.. Bixby approaches the first mirror in the room. He sees...  Bixby approaches the second mirror and sees...  Bixby approaches the third mirror and sees a girl with a strange mask. His vision in this mirror is distorted, almost as if the mirror were made of liquid. He moves toward the mirror. Doorman/Creepy Man: "I wouldn't do that if I were you." Bixby ignores the man and reaches out to touch the girl...  The girl awakens. Bixby turns to his side to see her no longer in the mirror, but standing in the room with our heroes. She screams, but no sound comes out. She reaches up to her throat and squeezes, gasping for air. Bixby tries to help her, activating his ability, but there is no hope. She is dead, and evaporates into the air around them. |

bixby blows out one of the candles. bixby: dont touch the mirrors the images will come alive!! The candles are all blown out, and a red light appears in the middle of the room. It travels past the doorman's face, and our heroes watch it become engulfed by the smoke of the candle's wick. Doorman: "The guide comes where candles are snuffed." At the center of the room, with our heroes gathered around, the spirit speaks. Spirit: "Beginning meets infinities resource for death.
Peaceful insanity is caught between each breath.
Muted voices, uncertain choices breech the past,
But all I hear through static-clear are spirits passed." |

Bixby approaches the candles and fiddles in his pockets to see if he has anything inside. He moves the golden spike aside, but cannot locate anything else to aid in the situation. Bixby: "Anybody got any wise ideas?" |

His hand bounces off, but an echo vibrates behind it, over and over again, the thump repeating as it fades. Albert: "There's something behind this mirror." Albert investigates further to see a crack on the side exposing a low blue light. |

 Summary / Last Time on Monastery Here is the summary of where things stand for today (these events run from page 8 to 11): 1. Albert asks the doorman to move, but he demands a password to enter. 2. The doorman asks the heroes "Tell the tale of the son with five sisters." 3. Tim makes it known Milkmire's documents have been signed. He offers the documents in exchange for Milkmire's bullets. 4. The doorman demands the right password after failed attempts by Albert and Bixby. 5. Jif kicks at the door, but falls. He then investigates Bixby's document. 6. Bixby gives the right password: "Dolon of Troy." 7. The doorman allows entry to the castle. The doorman lights candles. 8. Milkmire yells for everyone to stop. Everyone stops and waits for Milkmire. Nothing happens. 9. Everyone moves inside the castle. 10. The doorman explains they are in the Monastery of Count Orlok Shreck. 11. The brick walls are an illusion, our heroes are in a room filled with mirrors. 12. Oliver sees a man racing his shadow in one mirror. Another reveals a terrifying creature. A third mirror features a large beast growling at Oliver. 13. Albert sees wilting flowers in a mirror. 14. Bixby approaches a mirror and sees a woman's face floating out of a thick, white fluid. 15. Bixby approaches another mirror and sees hands reaching from a wall. A third mirror reveals a hand by a trap. The fourth mirror is of a woman. Bixby is warned not to touch the mirror. He reaches out anyways, and his hand enters into the mirror realm and pulls the woman out. She gasps for air and silently screams until she evaporates into the air. 16. Bixby tries to blow out one candle, but all are blown out. 17. A spirit emerges from the smoke. It tells a tale. 18. Bixby tries to re-light the candles, but cannot without a flame. 19. Albert keeps asking about Orlok Schreck but is warned to keep his voice down by the Doorman. 20. Albert bangs at a mirror, and the sound of the thump echoes behind it. |
