The Texas Rattlesnake's five fighters in the Grand Prix were interviewed at their gym, and had this to say about their match-up with The Rocketmen:
Mark Hunt: Randy has beaten me before. He took the SuperFight belt from me. I don't think I've recovered since then, and I don't think I'm ready to face him again. I think he beats me inside three rounds.
Uriah Hall: Man, three weeks ago I was at home sitting on my couch when I got a phone call that I was being signed to a team. I've had one damn fight this season, and then they expect me to go up against Rich Franklin? Yeah, no, I'm losing for sure.
Cody Garbrandt: I'd never say that I was afraid to face an opponent, but Joseph Benavidez is a different kind of animal entirely. I'm scared of his wrestling. If he brings me down, I'm fucked.
Holly Holm: Yeah, I'm going up against the chick I was traded for. I'm not sure I'm comfortable on the new team yet, and clearly I've been struggling to put a win together. I'm guessing I'll be unconscious by the end of the first round, but we'll see.
BJ Penn: I will destroy Thiago Alves.
Reporter: Wow.
