To Bulldozers Chuck Liddell (83-46) MW To Poison 55 points Bulldozers only have 38 points so we will be taking out a loan of 17 points. With the 20% interest on loans, Bulldozers will owe a total of 20.4 (20 rounding) points. We have needed a third and strong MW for some time now and get that from Liddell. He instantly makes out team better and we should be a strong candidate for the Grand Prix next season. Bulldozers Accept xx - The King's Poison The Sandmen The Rocketmen EDIT: To show the interest on the 17 points.

Reject.
1) Interest is set by the league on a case by case basis 2) Loans are not pre-approved 3) No loan will be offered to a team in a bidding war to help teams who do not have points win over teams who do have the points

Guess you should have seen where the league offer was going. You might have got Chuck for significantly less, ya damned fool. Do you think the league is going to put a bid in and try to make a profit off its bid?

Also, I’m not trying to be a dick or anything but the rules never said that interest is set by the league on a case by case basis.
“Therefore, starting this season (so, now), if you are trading points you do not have, you will owe a 20% interest point fee (rounded up to the next whole number) on top of that.”

If you’re going to reject the trade then reject it but I’m fully comfortable with taking a loan out and bidding 55 points. I don’t think anybody else is willing to do it.

In a nutshell, that means that the INTENT of a rule outweighs any oversights or omissions in the WORDING of the rule. (i.e. If a rule says "You can't upgrade your guy past 85", that does not mean you can upgrade your women to 100 just because they were not specifically included in the literal wording of the rule.) For the most part, I try to cover all loopholes, but sometimes unforeseen stuff comes up. In those cases, we look at WHY a rule exists, and remain consistent with the WHY more than the HOW of its wording. This avoids silly loopholes that can ruin the site, and also maintains the fun and integrity of the game as a whole for everyone. The spirit of loans is to encourage trading and not handcuff people. The purpose is not to allow whoever wants to borrow 300 points to win bidding wars to do so.

Even then, nobody outbid my 38 points and I only increased to the 55 because of the league offer.

But you don't have 55... and the league bid isn't a bidding war, it was a one time offer from the league... you are part of the league. It was your bid as much as it was anyone else's lol
