The bands I get usually break or I lose the pins. 😂😂 The band on my Timex has already started to wear but my Citizen is still in mint condition.

I'm not vain, so I don't put 3/10ths of a rats dick of effort into my appearance or how "fancy" I look. That shit costs money and time that I could spend on other things. Fair but since I’m in a line of work where there are clients coming in and out of our office everyday I have to dress to impress. (I don't actually feel this way, it just reminded me of this so I had to post it. Who doesn't love some Buster Keaton?)

Haha no I get it, believe me I used to never care about watches but since I started working and seeing clients every day I realized that there’s small things that show how your business is doing. If they see employees walking around with nice watches then they’re more likely to believe that the company is doing good.

I care about my watch like I care about my cell. I found one I like 25 years ago and will be loyal to that exact item until I die, or they stop making it. Unrelated, but related. I feel naked without my watch. It's kind of like a 3D tattoo at this point.

And I feel you, I am in love with my Citizen and am looking for more watches like it that come at a reasonable price. If I can find an automatic watch like it at a good price then that will be my next watch.

I wear my watch on my right hand. Are you naturally left handed? No. It makes no logical sense. It is just lunacy, as you said. Interesting side-note though, when I played old-man shinny a couple years ago and needed my watch so I knew when I had to leave, I had to move my watch from my right hand (blocker hand) to my left because when pucks hit your blocker and you have a watch on like a moron, it hurts and feels like it will break your watch (or wrist).

So why not just wear it on your left hand? My biggest reasoning for wearing my watch on my left is shitting and eating. When I gotta wipe my ass I don't want my watch anywhere near there and with eating, sometimes sauces can go to your wrist and I don't want that getting on my watch. Also with working, when I'm writing something down my watch hits the desk and that can scratch it.

Also with working, when I'm writing something down my watch hits the desk and that can scratch it. Ya know...in the 30 years I have been wearing a watch, I have never gotten the residues you describe on it, nor felt it was anywhere near in that sort of peril. The reason I don't wear it on my left is it just feels wrong. Like writing or shooting with the wrong hand. When it comes to watches, I am right-handed. It feels more comfortable and natural to use my left hand for the buttons, it feels more natural to raise my right hand to see the date/time, etc. The size and weight feels natural and comfortable (I typically wear a lighter chain on my left hand, because my peripheral vision and wrist-senses need that balance). But...yeah. Again, no logic to it, it just feels right, and always has.

Everybody I know except for my brother wear their watch on their left hand. I guess whichever hand you put it on first gives it the natural feel. From what I know though most people wear their watch on their non dominant hand.

But he is actually left-handed, so it makes sense for him. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
