 Protesting Amid Miller ControversyIssue #3: September 5, 2019. By Austin Heer Protesters Outside Michigan GymNew information has been released following the statement from The Quads' Jason Miller earlier today. According to The Texas Rattlesnakes executives, one of their gyms in Michigan has been closed for the weekend after protesters flooded the streets surrounding the gym. Fighters and coaches alike have been unable to enter the gym and train due to the amounts of people outside. It's not clear what exactly they're protesting, but many believe Jason Miller is the cause. We've been unable to reach Head Coach of The Texas Rattlesnakes , Austin Heer, but it's believed that training will be moved to one of their other gyms for the remainder of the month. Eddie Alvarez, who was hoping to get in some training for his next fight took his complaints to twitter: "I mean, I get why people are complaining, but don't flood our gym. This isn't our problem. Take your complaints to The Quads ! They're the ones behind the debacle. Hopefully ManMMA takes care of this before it gets any worse. It's making the organization look bad."Fans and fighters alike seem to agree with Alvarez, as his post received thousands of likes and retweets. We await further comment from Jason Miller and The Quads to see how the situation will be dealt with. Fans are hoping for a statement from ManMMA President, Justin Traviss, but we've heard nothing from him yet. Stay tuned for more details. |

Jason Miller would like to release the following statement regarding abortion. "As some of you know, I clearly am pro-choice. It's something that we cherish greatly at our training camps. In fact, we are so pro-choice that multiple of our athletes have annual abortions while training in our facilities. As a training organization that is 99% female, we feel it's extremely important to not only preach pro-choice but to conduct our training styles in that very manner. Thank you."

But, then again, that would also bring up the issue of equality too... Sounds to me as though the Quads may lose that 99% sooner rather than later unless they already share these views to the extreme the organization does. |
