As I mentioned in an announcement a while back, after almost 9 years, 26 seasons, and more than 520 ManMMA events, we have reached the maximum number of boards available on this board. After hours of discussions and various considerations, we have decided to move forward with ManMMA on a new Proboards page, and basically re-boot the entire league for a second era.
The specific details of ManMMA Era 2 will be coming in the near future, but for now, I wanted to outline our plans for wrapping up ManMMA Era 1.
1) This season will conclude at Zenith. ManMMA 519 and Zenith Fight announcements have been posted, and will be simmed in the coming days.
2) There will be no Grand Prix this season. I had asked for GP lists before Christmas and as of this post, I didn't receive a single GP list. So we will be closing out our Season 26 season with Zenith, starting awards and awards voting, final team standings, final champions, etc. Once Zenith has concluded, for all intents and purposes, all belts will be retired, and champions will be enshrined in ManMMA history.
3) HOWEVER, as a final epic cap-off to ManMMA Era 1, I hope/plan to have a series of 6 super-events, dubbed "Last Man Standing". For each weightclass, every ManMMA fighter will be entered into a 32-person, single-night tournament. The winner will be dubbed "Last Man Standing" for that weightclass, and have special bragging rights forever.
This means if you are one of the 23 people here who have 75+ points, SPEND YOUR POINTS NOW! Use them on fighters for the Last Man Standing Events. Use them on your fighters' last fight (whether it be at Zenith or ManMMA 519). Just do whatever you want and SPEND LIKE MAD! Don't let those points go to waste when you could go out on a win!
