, in a draw, neither fighter loses the fight. Originally, when we concieved the whole ML thing, the extra point was a WIN bonus. Fighters were not LOSING 1 point for losing. Therefore, the bonus was only awarded for winning. Hence win bonus.

I still think we are missing Ferocity's main points here.
Topic 1: To rid ML of Decisions, or not to rid ML of decisions.
Topic 2: To rid ML of draws, or not to rid ML of draws.

Topic 1: We need to keep ML Decisions, because that is a perfectly natural outcome to any fight, and eliminating it would literally created 3 hour fights (I tested this, and everyone loses their stamina and dies and can't do anything for the rest of the fight).
Topic 2: I'm cool with getting rid of draws. We could implement 10 rounds for fights, and that should eliminate draws as a fighter is more likely to earn victory points in at least 6 of the 10 rounds (theoretically). This is at least something we could try.

@hammerfists:
Topic 1:
Loosing decisions does not necessarily mean fighting until someone wins. I'm not advocating 3 hour fights. I'm saying lets stop letting the computer program make the decisions. We could:
1) vote for a 'decision maker' and let this person decide the decision. THis post could be time based (3 months for example), season based, or # of fights based (after 10 fights a new 'decision maker' is chosen).
2) have a poll and vote on the outcome of the fight. 3 responses and the decision is made.
3) Make decisions based on a statistic generated by the simulator. Damage caused, punches (including GNP) thrown... whatever the league decides is the decider.
If you want a list of potential problems for the above, I've got them. I just think it needs to be discussed.
Topic 2:
I would treat draws the same as decisions if we want to keep the 1 point per loss, 2 point per win system.

I don't think that our ML fighters have the stamina for 10 rounds. lol We barely have the stamina for 5 as it is right now. I'm fine with the points determining the winner on draws. Voting for it as members here, might make it a little too dramatic and political, only because the sympathy card might be played for a fighter that's "due" for a win cuz they're record is junk; yes I'm referring to my fighter too. I'd honestly prefer to see 2 points awarded to both fighters in the case of a draw or even in the case of a decision, since both fighters actually went the distance and lasted 5 rounds. lol And it doesn't have to remain that way either. It can always be changed once fighters other than Traviss start actually finishing fights. Though this 2nd fighter idea of HammerFists could address this issue too.
