alright, I finally have a fighter fighting. He should even win considering he faces a guy who can't win LOL. I like my odds with this one. With that said he will probably get knocked out in the first round

when you fighters aren't in the tournaments anymore I guess it only leaves the matches between the worst of the worst to see what happens. The best of the worst matches tournments

The best of the worst matches tournments In one sense, yes... however, with the types of fighters that you and I both have, (meaning "newer" fighters to the sport) it's kinda good to face the more bottom competition so that they're atleast competitive. My problem this season is that I had such a good year last year that my fighters are fighting a bit out of their league to start the season and I've got a 1-15 record to start the season; not good. lol

Yes, with Huerta out for awhile I really don't have any real fighters to speak of. He will be back soon and then I have atleast one fighter to look forward to his matches. I use to see what Honchak did, but she isn't fighting much now

I use to see what Honchak did, but she isn't fighting much now I feel your pain. lol I got Brock out til atleast 130, so I understand. But don't worry about Honchak... Barb's AWESOME! That was a good scoop by you picking her up. I'd thought about picking her up for my team a few times. She's legit and she'll get her fights, especially after that standing guillotine she pulled off last season. That was a thing of beauty.

how does this system figure who is fighting? I know some fighters have had 7 fights since I have been here but most of mine have had 3 or 4

The best of the worst matches tournments No no, the tournaments are like cycles, moreso than "the best of the best" type tournaments. The fights OUTSIDE of the tournaments are basically fights that set up the next cycle of tournament. Who is in any given tournament is just as much a matter of timing as it is skill/record. But it's important to win those non-tournament frights to get into the next tournament. Basically when making a tournament, I grab the winners who are due for a fight and toss em all in there and see who comes out on top. This way every single fight is an important one here. Moral: IN NO WAY are non-tournament fights the "worst of the worst". Or even the worst. Everyone will be in non-tournament fights, even the best fighters here.

how does this system figure who is fighting? I know some fighters have had 7 fights since I have been here but most of mine have had 3 or 4 Generally speaking, Champions fight every 4 cards. This new tournament system will see lot's of sporadic booking, but the non-tournament fights will be guys who are due for a fight. Over the course of a season, the number of fights SHOULD balance out to almost even, since I will give people who were in a tournament a bit more time off to account for the more fights they would have received for being in a tournament. Basically, between 121 and 140, every fighter outside of champions and injured guys, should have around 4 fights a season. Champions should hit about 5. There will be variations, but that's the guide-line.

seriously rousey has 2 fight a tourney to get a title shot whens shes on a 7 8 fight win streak that's BS Funny enough, I kinda have to agree with Cannon on this particular point. Cuz I do know that I'd be a little miffed if one of my fighters, or one of my girls for that matter, was on the tear like Rousey's been on recently, and effectively beating the top 2 women under Cyroid (Carano & Kaufman) during that streak and still has to be subjected to a tournament to get a shot. I know she beat Carano to go against Cyroid, but you see what I mean. It just seems a little bit unfair considering that the fights against my girls to start the season were made to count against our records but effectively are seeming not to count since Rousey's in this tournament. Don't get me wrong, I think Rousey/Carano needs to happen again now that Carano's gotten more upgrades since losing to Rousey, but at the same time, a 7-8 fight win streak constitutes a title shot. Overdue in fact.

Wanderlei Silva These fucking tournaments are fucking stupid. seriously rousey has 2 fight a tourney to get a title shot whens shes on a 7 8 fight win streak that's BS, go back to ufc style man 6 of those wins are from a special challenge. I am not giving you an advantage over the rest of the league who did NOT participate in your special challenge. Prior to that, there were women on longer streaks than Rousey, but I am not leapfrogging her just because of the special event. It would be unfair to the rest of the league who has NOT had their fighter fight 6 times in one night. ------------- ACTUALLY....that beings up an even better point. Rousey has had 7 fights THIS SEASON already. I think in the interest of fairness, I'm going to remove her from this tournament all together and put her in a later tournament. I am not doing this because you bitched about the tournament, I am doing it because if she wins (which she will) she will have 10 fights PRIOR to her title shot. That is not acceptable to me.
