Yamanaka is close, man. Her offense just needs a bit more impact. Cyborg has a lot of toughness, and Yammy almost cracked through that shell, but not quite. After that, Cyborg got rolling and did her thing. Nice to see Cyborg NOT steamrolling people. Means the ladies are developing. Slowly, but they are.

Developing our women is only part of the equation Sandman... The rest of the women in the division under Kaufman, Cyborg and Carano are VASTLY inferior. I know you'll say to the contrary due to overalls, but it obviously has nothing to do with overalls, cuz the fact is that in ALL the men's divisions we've had championship diversity whereas in the women's division we've had none; we've had 3 champions since the induction of the women's division/title. That might change at Zenith or whenever you plan on having the Kaufman/Rousey fight, but even at that point it just shows the entire league that takes 35-36 points into any one of our girls to be even on the same playing field as the top 3. We've got a ton of great fighters in this league, but all are effectively dog shit compared to Kaufman, Cyborg & Carano... it's just a fact.

Yes, because the FACT has always been while some people were heavily developing their men, other's developed their women. And in Cannon's case, ONLY his woman. For like, 2 full seasons or more. So while some of us were collecting HW, MW, LW belts, others concentrated hard on the women. To undermine that work wastes all their points.

I disagree. Just for the simple fact that of the length of time that we've seen literally no one progress to that level yet. It took 35-36 points for Cannon to get Rousey even close to that level, and even with all the points that he put into her, she's barely even scratched the surface of being able make a dent in any of those three with her 2 wins over Carano & Kaufman that was later expunged by both of them and she can't beat Cyborg to save her life, yet she's the top overall female in the league. Does that seem right to you? Sure doesn't to me.

Coenen is right there. We saw her come up from nothing to being a clear #5. We saw Rousey come from being a bottom-feeder, to being a legit #4. We saw Kaufman go from perpetual #3 to clear #1. The movement is there, you are just too new to remember its development.

Cannon power-upgraded Rousey, instead of developing her strengths. Rousey got fucked up when he started developing her punches. She tries to stand with stand-up fighers, and is just not good enough.

Because they were both upgraded after their losses to her. That's how upgrades are supposed to work, really. Find a weakness, fix it, move forward.

Yes. The well-upgraded fighters do great. Best example is Kaufman. She is 4th highest in terms of overall, but Ferocity built to her strengths perfectly and now she has a legit monster on her hands. Kaufman suffered a lot of losses in big fights, just as all other women here have. But Ferocity kept to her and built her right.

I agree that undermining the work that cannon put into his woman is a waste of his points... and i disagree with Phx saying that he disagrees.. BUT having to put 40 points into someone before they are even close to being a contender is a bit too much.. a level playing field is needed.. a way to have some of the bottom guys able to catch up. right now someone says i put +1 towards my woman.. what does that do for them... nothing.. if someone said i upgrade +10 into my woman. what does that do? well it helps her against lower fighters but again in order to be a contender you need 40 points so it's 10 points wasted. I'll put those 10 points into a male fighter and become a contender there.. Thanks.

but you have to realize not everyone can keep up with you and Phx and Hammer for posts in order to keep generating points for upgrades.. but what im saying is that if someone can't keep up with you guys it's a huge turn off to the site when you can't stay competitive. i don't really care how it is in real life this is a game and it needs to stay as a level playing field. would it be fair to have an all star team in the nhl play a regular season? no.. all i'm saying is you as the owner of this site and the league commisioner you need to make sure the game is not unfair.. but it's being brought to your atention that something needs to be done in order to make it more fun for people and hopefully draw more people in.

The points themselves aren't wasted because that give you a 10 point boost towards that 30-40 needed to get your fighter to that level. But this just accents my point that folks are disillusioned with the women's division and their attitudes towards it are "why bother? With Kaufman, Cyborg & Carano at the top, how do I even stand a chance? I'm better off upgrading a male fighter."

To me that says that folks are saying that there's clear line between parity and non-parity; the men's divisions have it and women's division does not. It's pretty damn simple.
