And for people wondering "Why Cro Cop?" - every single opponent he fought was higher ranked than him, and he went 3-0. The only other person to go 3-0 was Koscheck, who did not fight a single person ranked higher than him.

Wow, is that possibly the lowest correctly guessed predictor win in ManMMA history?

I believe it is.

Is Koscheck really ranked higher than Hughes? I disagree with MVP, definitely Koscheck in my book.

Your book is wrong. Hughes was on a 2 fight losing streak coming into this, Le was coming off a loss, and Koscheck just beat Alves at 156. I don't think anyone picked Cro Cop to beat Jones, few beat him to beat Overeem, and no one predicted he would go 3-0.

Again, I disagree... Koscheck had the better fights throughout the tournament, and other than Cro Cop fighting Jones, Koscheck had the tougher opponents, but received FotN & KOtoN aswell on the off-setting card to Cro Cop.
Koscheck: def. Hendo, Hughes & Le; KOotN (Round 1) - FotN (Round 2/3) Cro Cop: def. Jones, Overeem & Slice; FotN (Round 1) - KOotN (Round 2/3)
If ANYTHING, it's a tie. Cuz really, neither one out performed the other, I just preferred Koscheck's fights over Cro Cop's in the tournament and Kos put up a much better performance overall. It doesn't matter about who predicted what in the predictor. The MVP is the BEST Fighter in the tournament not who surprised you in the tournament.
MVP = Koscheck (not Cro Cop)

How do you fathom Koscheck had tougher opponents, when he was ranked higher than every single one of the guys he fought. Whereas Cro Cop was not ranked higher than a single opponent he fought. People picked Koscheck to win Koscheck fights, like, 2 people picked Cro Cop to win over the whole tournament.
Cro Cop beat ranks 1, 2, and 5. Koscheck beat ranks 3, 5, and 8.
So....that kinda cements that right there...
On TOP of that, Cro Cop had 2 first round finishes of those higher ranked opponents. Koscheck did not.

Overeem is streaky at the best of times & Slice goes down to kickers consistently. Jones was the only extreme threat to Cro Cop on his road to the final.

Yeha, Dan Henderson, Cung Le and Matt Hughes are not streaky at all. Give me a fucking break, dude. Go crawl back into your hole. This "Everything Sandman does is wrong" shit was old a season ago.
FURTHERMORE, Koscheck almost lost to Le. At no point in time did Cro Cop almost lose...so.....I don;t know what grounds you are arguing here other than an anti-Sandman bias.
I made my case pretty damned clear with the rankings, so I think we are good here.

No "anti-Sandman" bias here at all dude. If I actually felt Cro Cop was the best fighter in the tournament, I wouldn't be saying shit about it. I just think the MVP should go to the best fighter in the tournament... and that fighter was Koscheck this year. You had a point with Anderson last year, but this is ridiculous.

I agree, you are ridiculous. You have ignored every single point I made about rankings, and fighting better opponents, and just keep on this baseless "Koscheck had better opponents" bullshit. I present facts, you present...nothing.
Cro Cop Beat: Jones - 1 loss in previous 9 fights (a title fight vs. Anderson, whom he previously beat) - #1 ranked HW
Slice - #2 ranked HW - 3 fight win streak entering tournament
Overeem - #5 Ranked - Just lost a title fight, 4 fight win streak before that
Koscheck beat: Hughes - 8th ranked - 2 fight losing streak
Le - #3 ranked - coming off a loss
Henderson - #5 ranked - lost last fight before GP...
Those are pretty clear differences in opponents. At this point, feel free to think what you want, but it's pretty clear there is no bias here. You said yourself Jones was supposed to beat Cro Cop. He loses that fight, and Sandmen doesn't make it to the 2nd round, let alone finals.

That's right. He beat Jones, which was impressive... no question, but the other 2 he beat couldn't even hold a candle to Jones; literally... whereas anyone of Koscheck's opponents could've actually beaten the other at any given time. That's the difference; Your rankings aside. It's about the quality of the fights too, not just oh "I beat this guy's ass that had a 2 fight winning streak in 0:10, next?" Sorry, that don't wash. It's also about the quality of fighter you defeated too. And I'm sorry, as good as Overeem and Slice are in this league, Hendo, Le & Hughes are better quality fighters. That's just a fact.

Anyone who honestly believes that Koscheck's opponents were tougher than Cro Cop's opponents doesn't know MMA.
