Fan Expo Adventure

Thursday
- drove to Toronto
- checked into shady hotel
- unknowingly recieved misguided advice about where to park
- walked to FanExpo
- Q&A with Alice Cooper
- briefly browsed exhibitor area
- Panel on movie poster design
- returned to shady hotel

Friday
- woke up in shady hotel to discover car towed
- retrieved towed car
- drove to FanExpo; parked there
- panel on Young Adult horror literature
- shopped, picked up Tromeo & Juliet, met Lloyd Kaufman
- panel on Troma and Return to Class of Nukem High
- briefly popped into Q&A with Linda Hamilton
- Q&A with George Takei & Nichelle Nicholls
- Q&A with Ian McDairmid Q&A
- left car, walked back to shady hotel

Saturday
- walked to FanExpo
- Q&A with Gina Torres
- Q&A with Doug Gilmour
- Q&A with Martin Brodeur
- panel on costume/cosplay makeup
- went to Panel with Charles Band - he did not show up
- browsed exhibits
- Sketch duel
- Masquerade
- gathered car, returned to shady hotel
- parked in shady parking lot

Sunday
- checked out of shady hotel
- drove to FanExpo
- Q&A with Shawn & Aaron Ashmore
- Q&A with Dean Cain
- Q&A with Bobby Orr
- Q&A with Joe Sakic
- Q&A with Ron Perlman
- Q&A with Carrie Fisher
- left Toronto, returned home

The line-up was 2+ hours long, with no guarantee of getting in. So I said fuck that, and went to the Ashmores, Dean Cain, and Bobby Orr instead. I would have missed all 3 if I went to Fillion. Screw that.

I don't participate, I just watch. I could have in any of the sports ones for sure. The bigger movie people were in a HUGE auditorium (possibly up to 1000 people) Getting picked in that room was far less likely. Shocking, though, only about 30-50 people showed up for the sports guys. It was nuts!

Sign up for newsletters. Esp from like, ticketmaster for concerts. That's how I hear about cool concerts in my area.

Next Fan Expo, ManMMA should go and build websites for each other without telling the other one and then lying about all of it, including going to the Expo.
