I think this could be fun and offers another possibility of gaining points, trash talking, post counts and enjoyment on the site altogether:
We predict real life cards.
Have it set up in a way where one week prior to the card taking place, we open the card for discussions and predictions, where you not only guess who wins every single fight on the card, but in what fashion (if it's a finished fight, you don't need to claim the round because that gets annoying). Most correctly predicted (pending at least 4 people predict) wins and gets a point.
This should spark more conversation as well, and the thread could be open to those watching it live (providing no spoilers on the cbox) discussing the card as it takes place.
Thoughts?

what about people that don't watch frequently? cause i only get to watch a fight here and there.. And yet you're an incredible judge of all things GSP lol But to answer your question, you can always participate in discussion after the fact since it's a forum and not a phone call. Secondly, you predict prior to the card, so not seeing the card doesn't make your predictions invisible. Really, I feel like you asked a question as a means to introduce a problem that really doesn't exist or have any bearing on anything. It's the equivalent of someone asking a room if they'd like to guess how many jelly beans are in the jar, you show up and say "What if I choose not to eat them?" The fuck, really?

even if you don't think so rocketmen... i was trying to help by comming up with an issue that is relevant to myself. I was not answering the question "would you like apple pie?" with "I like donuts". I do not watch MMA alot.. but i do know whats going on and i do follow who i like. I like GSP

lol my point was that you can still predict on anything without knowing much about it. But I do find it funny that there's a debate on who won the GSP fight and you attack me for my knowledge and credibility in understanding fights, and then turn and let us know that you hardly ever watch the sport.

No. Gap wouldn't agree with that either, me thinks.
