K, but...why is a #1 contender fight less significant than a title match? If Sarah lost this same fight at the N1C finals, we would be having this same debate (extending to tournament fights), and we all know that. If this is really bout seeing the TITLE FIGHTS we want to see, then the N1C tournament fights are just as important.

as far as i'm concerned battling through the tourney is deserving of a championship fight. BUT if the fight ends in the first 30 seconds to something that rarely happens... it's a screwjob.. and it should be rematched.
Plain and simple.

Yes, but the argument presented before was that a cut in 30 seconds was, as you say, a screwjob. So why is it not a problem if people get screwjobbed out of a title fight by getting cut in a #1 contender fight? (I'm just trying to understand this line everyone thinks is so clear here, cause to me, a tournament fight is just as important as a title fight)

I think you're just arguing for the sake of it dude cuz you don't want to change/make any rules that you haven't thought of yourself. So you'll trying and find any way you can to argue it, not do it then change it and introduce it later as your own idea. We've been through this before with the fighter cap.
We already have 3 folks in agreement on this new rule proposal. I really think you should be taking it more seriously than trying to find any way you can to try and shoot it down.

That being said though, and to answer the question... In my view, the tournament is the tournament and are all regular fights. The pinnacle is the title fight.

That's not to say I have a problem with it extending to the no.1 contender fights, but, what you're basically suggesting is that no fight is more or less important than the other. By making it strictly the title fight, a clear line is drawn and you won't have folks perpetually asking for a rematch on every fight, as you claimed would happen previously in this thread.
