don't you want to see championship fights? if your guy makes it to a title fight and you receive a cut stoppage in less than 30 seconds wouldn't you want to be protected that you can get a chance to fight again?... I would.

I think you guys are letting what DID happen overshadow what COULD happen, and weakening your argument for this rule change a LOT.
You should stop focussing on Sarah D'Alelio, who was probably not going to win anyways, and focus on how shitty it would be if a legit champion lost to some scrub contender via crappy 20 second cut (Brown to Fisher, or Gurgel to Carano, or Herman to Silva, etc). That being said, I like that that dominant champion would have to go back into the mix and start again. It mixes things up. If they get an immediate rematch and just take their belt back...we get stale again.
New thoughts, just throwing those out there. I don't agree with Byron's nonsense here (and everywhere lately), but I still think this needs work...and...you know....a poll.
