No more or less incorrect than you... lol But whatever... you go ahead and live in your little bubble of arrogance. Enjoy. lol This is not an opinion, it is a fact. If you are of the opinion that 2+2 is 7, that is not correct. What you are claiming here is the same as that. You COULD argue with a mathematician that 2+2=7, but you would be wrong. Right now, arguing with someone about the specifics of THEIR degree makes you wrong. It really is that cut and dry in this case.

To the rest of the world 2+2=7 is wrong. The fact is different from opinion. If my opinion is that honors is spelled honours then in my opinion i am right. if my opinion is that honours is spelled honors then I am also correct in my mind. BUT the fact is the canadian spelling of honors is honours so if you say otherwise you may be right in your mind but you are not right anywhere else. Is your degree american or canadian? because if it is american.. then the spelling on it may be the american spelling but when someone spells it as honours (canadian spelling)it means the same thing.

My degree is a Canadian HONOURS degree. That is the part that is not up for debate - the title of the degree. I do not have an HONORS degree, nor an HONEORUEORUZKY degree. It is an HONOURS degree, as per the title of the degree itself. When a degree is earned, it's title is based on it's country of origin. Furthermore, an Honours degree could very well be different than an Honors degree, just as the difference between a college and university education in Canada differs significantly from college and university in the United States.

Honours & Honors are the same damn thing. It is in fact you sir that are claiming 2+2=7 by virtue of saying that there is only one spelling of the word; which is incorrect. It doesn't matter what English speaking country you reside in or you received it. Both words are spelled correctly. Besides, the word is pronouced ON-ORS, not ON-OURS. It's basically the very same argument of Tomato vs. Tomatoe; again, both are the same and both are correct.

In the usa at school for little kids they teach that honors is the way to spell.. in Canada kids are taught either is an appropriate spelling. if you spell honors as honours in the usa does it make wrong to spell it that way? well yes and no.. the teacher may say this is not the way i want you to spell it but is it wrong? no. And for the record honors and honours mean the same thing and are the same word for all intents and purposes.

Okay, kids. Listen this time. There IS only one way to spell the NAME of my degree. In this case, the spelling is not subjective, nor variable.
The TITLE of the degree is an Honours Degree. That DOES NOT CHANGE. It is a TITLE. Like a NAME. GAP, your name does not change from Craig to Greg when you visit other countries. It is YOUR NAME. On your BIRTH CERTIFICATE. My degree is an HONOURS DEGREE, and it says that ON THE CERTIFICATE. If you want to talk about something more general, like subjects, then sure, spell those however you want. But in this case, the two are NOT the same, any more than claiming an Honours degree and an Honorary degree are the same thing.
