He probably would have tested positive, so instead of keeping the fight, testing him for it and suspending him for a year, thus putting a big damper on the end of his career, he'll now need to train, flush it out of his system and come back, OR get a title fight that isn't in Nevada.

I don't like Weidman either. I think his actions following the Anderson Silva fight really showed his character, and not a great one. When a fighter's leg is hanging off, most classy people don't jump for joy as if they won their first ever match. He did not beat Anderson, and had nothing to celebrate. The guy injured himself, and the fight was stopped. Watch Anderson vs. Cote for how a real champ behaves under such circumstances.

In fairness, it's not like he was given a clear #1 contender fight, or a tournament win. He was given a title fight. As it so happened, he has been taking things he should not be, and so he needs to either change that, or only fight in like, 4 places on earth.
