Positive. Like HIV. And just as deadly, if you follow me. So what you're saying is that it's not that deadly at all then. lol

Wow, there's some ignorance right there. Though social perception implies HIV/AIDS is not lethal, it very much still is. We have medicines that can combat the virus IN SOME PEOPLE, but they do not work for everyone. HIV is just as serious now as it was 15 20 years ago.

It's not social perception, HIV itself isn't deadly or lethal. If it becomes full blown AIDS, then absolutely it is. You'll find that those medicines have advanced quite considerably from 20 years ago to now and work on most people now. There's many folks living with it, just ask Magic Johnson about that dude. Doesn't make it any less serious, but you saying that HIV on it's own is deadly and lethal couldn't be more wrong.

The majority of people with HIV do develop AIDS. It's the final stage of the HIV virus.
Relatedly, if you ask Magic Johnson, the first thing he will tell you (and the thing he actively promotes) is that HIV/AIDS is as dangerous today, as it was before. He would say it should always be considered deadly and treated as such. He says that since he is still alive, people use him as the "see, AIDS is not dangerous anymore" scapegoat, and he is very concerned about that image, and is doing everything in his power to erase that.
Hope that helps

That's my point, it's because it is treated so aggressively now is the reason that it's not as deadly or lethal as it was 20 years ago. Doesn't the therapy and medicine work for 100% of those afflicted, no, but it's a helluva lot better than the 100% death rate from before. I'd also like to know where you're getting your numbers from cuz you rarely hear about it being an epidemic unless it's in third world countries like in Africa and such where it still is an epidemic.
