I'll toss out a really brief review of this game in point form.
PROS - Fighters look amazing - Very fun integration of The Ultimate Fighter in Career Mode - First UFC game with women! (I knocked Ronda Rousey unconscious several times) - Random cuts (could take 1 strike or 25 to cut someone, makes them exciting) - Routine updates (the internet said EA was providing full roster updates including adding fights for free, (but I have doubts on that) - Bruce Lee is in the game.
CONS - Only about 10-12 UFC fighters per weight class (makes Career mode very shallow) - I have only fought 19 career fights, and I am already defending my belt against a fake fighter when there are UFC fighters in my weight class I have not fought. - You have no career choices - you are given fights, and you take them. No decisions to move up or down, no decisions on who to fight. - You cannot create female fighters (or have a career mode with them)!!! - Only like, 3 modes. Career, Exhibition, and Online (+ 3 online modes - Quick Exhibition, Season, Rivals) - NO PRIDE (no ring, no Pride fighters, no Pride rules)!!! - Submissions are very complicated and take a bit to get used to. - Bruce Lee is in the game.

how is the plabability of the game? i played the first ufc game that came out for ps3... then played the first ea ufc game and i hated the first ea ufc game.. the way the game played was just not as easy to fight. Perhaps i'll pass on buying this.

From what I saw from the gameplay videos, it looks like the mechanics are a puked up version of Fight Night's. Now that I know that the divisions are shallow and everything, it definitely tells me that they were trying too hard making the fighters rather than the mechanics.
UFC Undisputed 3, in my opinion, is still eons better than this game, only because of the well-structured Career Mode and the fact that in your career mode you can fight to be a PRIDE champion. Played as a basketball teammate. 2x Pride Lightweight Champion, 2x UFC Lightweight Champion (12 match defense before vacating it for PRIDE), 1x UFC Featherweight Champion.

Perhaps i'll pass on buying this. This is the first EA UFC game. The other one was EA MMA, which had like, 2 UFC fighters in it and Dana White, in all his douchiness, threatened to fire any active UFC fighters who signed their likeness over to the game... Anyways, I digress. Ummmm, I only played EA MMA on the non-default controls (because they were practically identical to the Undisputed games, which I loved). The default EA MMA controls were hell to me. I hate using knobs to strike, its fucked up. But compared to that, this is a bit better. The controls are much more like Undisputed, and the knobs are primarily used for strike modifiers (like holding up while you kick makes you kick high), and also used for grappling - so much more like Undisputed. It's very easy to pick up the controller and have a slugfest brawl with a friend, with lots of fast, crazy strikes, but beyond that it gets more complicated fast. Grappling is a little more tricky (and a bit different than Undisputed, so I am still getting used to it) and as I said, submissions are a whole new game, where you stop what you are doing and start this strange, dual-knob mini game where you havbe to use one knob to advance your submission and the other to stop your opponent from getting out. Its crazy and overwhelming at first, but the more you practice, the more it makes sense. Still not really fun though. My favourite submission system is Undisputed 3. It;s simple, easy, and its actually kinda fun. OH, and one other major con I meant to add is it;s only available on Next-Gen systems, so if I wasn;t lucky in getting a really good deal on a PS4, I would not have this game right now.

So no point in getting it then.

It depends. If you don't have an Xbox One, or a PS4, then no, it would be a waste of money, as you could be unable to play it.
I am enjoying career mode, and online isn't bad (though I get destroyed). I love MMA, so I would buy and play this no matter what (like a lot of people do with the EA NHL games they never change each year).
But that being said, if this is the foundation of this game series, and if they just keep adding from here, it can be an amazing in a year or two.

Having the women fighters in it was the big draw for me, if you can't do career mode with the women or create women, there's no use in getting the game, for me.

Yeah, that's how I felt too. It was a HUGE blow to the awesome of the game. I was pumped to do a career and destroy Rousey, but yeah...they copped out. I would almost guarantee it would be in the next one though. Pre-order EA UFC 2015 now, haha.

I'd likely get this one just cuz it's probably the one and only game that has Kedzie in it... kinda the reason I still have and play UFC 2010; for Brock... but that's probably the only draw for this game would be Kedzie. Bruce Lee is neat, but not the reason I'd buy the game. I'll likely get it on the "scratch'n'dent" pile or wait til the price comes down. lol Just sounds like a big disappointment.

Will take some time to get where UFC Undisputed was. If UFC 2015 is able to incorporate PRIDE and Bellator, it would be an incredibly deep game.
In terms of modes, there really are only 3 that are neccessary. Exhibition, Career and Online fights. I can't think of any others (maybe like a "Be-A-Promoter" where you make the cards, promote the fights etc would be fun).
Yeah, I think UFC games are pretty much a Career mode game, so they really need to focus on that. Give me the ability to take roids damnit!

And Kedzie's not in the game. Davis and Zingano are, but they were pretty light on the depth in all divisions, and women's and Flyweight were the worst. They each have 7 fighters. T'is brutal. Would love for Kedzie to be in there.

In terms of modes, there really are only 3 that are neccessary. Exhibition, Career and Online fights. Undisputed had a Re-Create/Re-Write History mode, where classic matches were set up and you got points for doing key moves from the fight, or changing the outcome of a classic fight. That was kinda fun. You also can;t even make your own PPV in this. In Undisputed you could, and it would declare a fight of the night, KO, etc. Again, here you cannot. You cannot have a tournament, which was very fun in Undisputed. Especially if you had a friend over, randomized the fighters and you each controlled a random corner throughout the tournament and got to see who won. They lost Pride, so that essentially cut out half of Undisputed 3 as well. They could add things like an old-school mode, where you go through a single night tournament where you carry damage from one fight to the next type thing. There are TONS of things they can do that they did not do here.

Davis & Zingano are enough for me to buy the game when the price comes down though.

It is unfortunate. It would have been a great canvas to toss out a bunch of "no name" women fighters to get more hype about the division with casual fans. like de Randamie, Kedzie, Duke, Baszler, Andrade Correia Eye, list goes on forever. I really hope they release huge roster updates and expand those 2 divisions to where they should be. Are you sticking with Sony for PS4, or thinking Xbox One?
