The internet was mad because Rob Zombie had to leave Rock Fest after only 2 songs of his headlining appearance due to voice problems. Video of it all below - his "Goodbye" is at the 7:55 mark.
Fans are torn with rage. Some are mad at Zombie for quitting. Others are mad at Rock Fest, who apparently told everyone to "sit tight, grab another beer", then said nothing for a full hour before striking the set, and later posting an image of a tweet from Zombie apologizing for the cancellation, saying:
"Sorry, everybody. I wish my voice wasn’t so fucked. I knew from the first second we started that it was impossible to get through the show."

WOW!!! he was soooooooooo struggling through those 2 songs but That sucks for all the people that paid money for that. this is why they should have back up bands in the green room. especially if you can barely talk before the show.

it's hard to plan to have back-up bands, that's the same as having two fighters train for a fight in the chance one might get injured.
but it sucks for fans. the guy tried though, but singing is a tough thing - especially with his style. to maintain your vocal cords without damaging them... man, that just sucks for fans.

It is hard having backup bands, but this was a festival. If I was any other band that played that day, I would be on that stage in 10 mins, rockin' that shit. The SHOW must go on. The show was not Rob Zombie, the show was Rockfest. They said they tried to get doctors to fix him, tried to get other stuff going on, etc. and that is why they said nothing. It mega sucks, but yeah, my big question is where other bands were that they could not have taken to the stage after 10-30 minutes. Even while RockFest was talking to Zombie.
Now, would people rather them have called the concert, or had ZOmbie's band play instrumentals?

i'd be annoyed to be listening to instrumentals.... but you can still rock out to it. another band should have been asked or should have offered to take the stage. give people their money worth.

I don't blame him, especially since he's never done it before. If you can't sing, then you can't sing... especially with the type of singing he does, he'd have just thrashed his voice even more and could've done some serious damage to his throat and possibly could have never performed again; it has happened to folks. Fans just need to suck it up sometimes and accept certain things.
Besides, Rob's not the type to not give back to the fans in Cadott, or anywhere else, the next time he comes around. He might even do a free show for them, you never know. I would.
