Crazy... the thing i hate about these types of videos is you don't know the whole story. It's just a clip and it's been edited..

You can see enough to know the man was not doing anything violent, aggressive, or harmful. He asked not to be touched, then got choked. WHen he said he could not breathe, he was choked. Then they smushed his face onto the cement and piled on top of him.
The worst case scenario, from the police perspective, is he was suspected of selling untaxed cigarettes, or possibly had marijuana on him at some point in the past. Neither is a violent offence, or a history of violence. The police need to recognize that there is more to people than you can see. Like all this death-by-tazer shit. People have heart conditions. People have asthma, and breathing problems. Tread carefully, instead of manslaughtering everyone ffs.

however you can't argue with cops when they say to do something or to come with them... do it. when they tried to grab a hold of him he resisted arrest. he did mention that he is tired of having police comming by so there must be a reason why they are coming by so often. he is a bigger guy so thus the chokehold. When he said that he can't breathe they should have let up a bit. but they needed him restrained first.

however you can't argue with cops when they say to do something or to come with them... do it. You absolutely have the constitutional right not to be harassed by cops for not doing anything wrong. You also have the right to NOT be assaulted and ultimately murdered by the cops as was the case here. The cops can use necessary force when needed, but this guy was barely resisting anything. He certainly had no weapon and was certainly not fighting or threatening anyone. That's like me asking Kruze to stop posting stuff about pedophiles then instead of just banning him, going to his house with an Uzi and shooting up his whole family. There is such thing is massive overkill, and that is what this video is to me. Overkill that lead to a most ridiculous abuse of power and ultimately an unfortunate death.

If a cop is placing you under arrest. You ask politely why you are under arrest and they should tell you. Then you go quietly and call your lawyer from jail. Then the situation is dealt with through a lawyer. If the cop doesn't tell you why you are under arrest then it's unlawful arrest.
If you stand there argueing and pulling your arm away from the police and you are larger than any of the cops. You may find yourself choked out or taken down by a mob of cops... they are not gentle. This is not harrassment. In order for it to be harassment you need to tell the cop that you feel you are being harrassed by them. If the cops continue then it's harrassment. Keep in mind the police have a right to arrest you if: They have a warrant, your caught in the act of a crime, They have reasonable evidence that you need to be in custody of the police (we don't know if any of these are appliocable in this case due to not having all the evidence). This is also not assault, as the cops were placing him under arrest and using reasonable force. The fact that he was larger than any of them, he posed a larger threat to the police. A choke was warranted, as far as i saw. However once he said "I can't breathe", the cops needed to quickly make sure he is restrained and then quickly see to his health immediately. (make sure he can breathe again or get an ambulance to respond)
Not having all the details does not allow us to make decisions about a suituation. Is this sad.. yes. Is this the way police should behave.. no. but every situation is different.

Standing and arguing is not being violent or threatening. Cops are given the right to enforce the law with adequate and necessary force. The force used was overkill, and it was certainly unnecessary. Just like all these taser deaths. Police need to be held accountable, and by the sounds of it, these men will be.

People need to be calm more and avoid these types of incidents, but cops do seem to think they are invincible and have carte-blanche, instead of handling situations better verbally with people who cannot control their emotions. Then these types of things happen, and people should be held accountable, regardless of how difficult a job it is to be a cop.

That and, you know, when an asthmatic person is screaming "I can't breathe, I can't breathe", stop choking them and cramming their face into concrete.

Yep, but not knowing he was asthmatic would have the cop just trying to choke him unconscious to restrain him - like a dick.
