Anyone else secretly excited for this?

I've liked nearly all of the Batman movies... the Joel Schumacher ones (Batman Forever/Batman & Robin) were borderline, but barely passable; Forever more so than B&R.

the joel schumacher ones were terrible... Bat nipples!!! dark knight series was great... original with michael keaton was good but a bit campy. other ones all sucked

I'd give Batman & Robin a slightly terrible, whereas Batman Forever was decent but not great... Tommy Lee Jones was a pretty good Two-Face for that franchise, it's just that the Schumacher scripts were weak, unfortunately

As I said, weak scripts... and having Arnold as Freeze was kind of bad, purely baserd on the fact you have to give him cheesy one liners. They needed someone like Patrick Stewart ilk to play Freeze.

yes the scripts were bad... Horribly terrible bad. Train wreck bad. But the directing wasn't good, the acting wasn't good. Honestly Tommy lee jones was not good as two-face at all.. tommy lee jones played two-face like he was trying to play the joker. but he wasn't the joker he was two-face. Maybe patrick stewart would play a good mr. freeze... i dunno.. i'd have to see his performance. Jim carey as the riddler.. I thought the potential was there for him to do an amazing job but wow did he drop the ball. really I have no good things to say about those movies. No.. wait.. i liked it when the end credits came up.. there i said something nice about those movies. Dark knight was a much better set of movies as the scripts were better, the special effects were better, the budgets were larger, the acting was hugely better. The movies didn't need cheesy lines or stupid gadgets that made no sense. The only thing i hated about the dark knight series was bane's voice.

I totally disagree with the acting end of it. The acting was pretty decent actually. It's extremely hard to make a bad script and poor directing look good. With Jim Carrey, they wanted him too be too "Ace Ventura" and not enough his own character, which made the character suck balls.

I will agree that the 2nd franchise was better than the first though. Christian Bale was excellent as Batman/Bruce Wayne.

shark repellent is awesome. Carrying shark repellent with you most of the time just in case you need it.... epic.


Also, Batman and Robin sucked. Poison Ivy is horrific. Batman Returns did not suck, and the Dark Knight trilogy at the very least modernized a pretty boring story (that of Batman to begin with), although Katie Holm's crazy eyes as always were distracting.
