lol Notice the troll face there?!  Here, she's good... IRL She's not worth all the hype that she gets... She totally lucked into the Invicta title. Bad judges in the D'Alelio fight then Nakamoto injuring her knee in the title fight and now she's chickening off to UFC without defending her title once; it's pretty pathetic TBH. But I can take solace in the fact that going to UFC means she'll likely have here ass handed to her soon enough.  |

It's true, but she should have lost to D'Alelio. That was just brutal judging, unfortunately. lol I dunno if you've seen that fight or not, but I've watched it about 10-12 times now trying to see where the judges got that Murphy won that fight and I just don't see it. Sure, she got takedowns, but they were so sloppy, it took forever to get Sarah down to the ground; to the point it looked as though Sarah allowed her the takedown, twice, just so she could gain a better adavantage on the switch. But once Lauren got Sarah down, she couldn't do shit all and Sarah pulled the switch on her every time and was pounding Lauren in the face or going for a submission.

On the record books, yes... unfortunately. If you ever do see the fight, you'll see what I mean. Murphy's got decent striking ability when she connects but that win was a sham and a half. lol

Maybe you're just saying that because you believe that D'Aleio should've won. You'd think so, but, as I said, I've watched that fight about 12 times now. Many of those times I specifically watching Murphy to try and see what the judges saw and to me the takedowns she got weren't enough. She couldn't maintain control in any capacity on the ground and her opponent was get the better of the striking exchanges when the were on their feet, including 3 of 4 landing superman punches that Murphy had no answer for really. Not to mention Murphy also low-blowed D'Alelio too. When the judges read out the scores, even the commentators were like "wtf?" cuz one of the judges scored it like 30-29 for Murphy and neither fighter put up a 30 performance really, least of all Murphy. I myself would've scored it 29-27 for D'Alelio. It was just weird and a classic case of: "Don't let it go to the judges." lol Cuz you could get burned. D'Alelio did, unfortunately. And I'm not the only one either... During UFC 167, I had small twitter exchange with Sarah Kaufman after GSP beat Hendricks by split decision:  There were a few more like that I saw during the actual Invicta 6 card as well, but Sarah Kaufman's no dummy when it comes to MMA either. If she says they got the decision wrong, as a fighter herself, I'll take her word over a number of other folks cuz she's actually been in the trenches and has fought for Invicta as well. I mean, it doesn't matter now cuz the record book shows that Murphy won, and that's the way it is, but I think that was that point that Sarah lost a little bit of confidence and she's only recovered it a little bit by winning those grappling and wrestling tourneys she has lately. Granted, her 2 fights since have both gone the distance, and the Evinger fight she stepped in for an injured fighter, but she just hasn't looked quite like herself in there since the Murphy fight.  |
