Then you missed out. I think schools had to register to do it though so if they didn't care about it, they likely didn't register.

ACtually, that now reminds me of another neat thing I got as a kid. My hockey team registered this thing with some sort of affiliate program when I was in Novice. For every game you played where BOTH teams did not register a penalty, you submitted the score sheet to this organization, and you earned points. At the end of the year, you got a prize. We won Easton aluminum sticks - the first one I ever had. We were all in awe.

If our entire team didn't get a penalty during a game.. we got a team sized pitcher of beer. We were not kids at the time..LOL.. Right Kruze?

That sounds more fun lol though I would imaging every hit was followed by a hand-written apology.
..or it's underage drinking.

the other thing we won through hockey was team jackets.. we won them by being the worst team in the tourney and geting destroyed every game but playing like heros and battling like crazy. We were beasts on the ice.. unfortunatelywe always came up short. But we were the hardest working team in the tourney.

The fighter or the comedian?
That was rhetorical, of course I know it was the 50s fictional fighter.
