It's all gossipy bullshit. The media does that all the time. The story is never good enough.

Sure. But that's not what we're talking about. I'm talking about sitting in my basement alone, deeply affected by the fact that 20 families (who had planned Santa-gifts to surprise and excite their young children) are now planning funerals. I could not give two fucks about the media, sensationalization, or anything else related to anyone else's perception of my interpretation of these events, and how they relate to me.

I did not say what you thought of was wrong, because it wasn't. Those parents did have Christmas presents. I said that I got annoyed with:
1. A girl he knows was happy Avril Lavigne tweeted about Sandy Hooks because of the shootings and got excited that Avril tweeted her town's name.
AND
2. That Bulldozers added a fictitious element - they are making Christmas arts and crafts and then get shot.
It can be applied that there were Christmas gifts, and that is sad. But adding your own fucking imagination that the kids are applying cotton to paper for Santa's beard at the exact moment they are getting tagged is what bothered me.

But adding your own fucking imagination that the kids are applying cotton to paper for Santa's beard at the exact moment they are getting tagged is what bothered me. What at the exact time they were getting shot?? I was trying to emphasize that they were getting ready for Christmas not that they were making gifts while getting killed. Jesus Christ dude stop fucking judging me and making me feel bad for what I said.

Columbine - I don't quite remember, and that makes me sad. I do remember people freaking out on the anniversary though, fearing something would happen at our school.

Jeez I remember our teacher forcing us to watch a documentary on this. I hate watching these kind of stuff because it makes me feel different from how I usually feel. But jeez the Columbine shooting, the Montreal Massacre, and the Sandy Hook Elementary Shooting really makes you wonder why this world is so fucked up.

I think we've always had such things, we just didn;t have the media about it in the past as we do now.

Yes I know that but I'm just using 3 examples out of a million events.

It is weird though, and I've wondered the same thing, but yeah. Like, I've read through archived newspapers from small towns and they'll talk about a neighbour who wonders if their attic is haunted, or Mr. Johnson shoveled snow last week for the whole block. Just local gossip, but now we have this wide open access, and it really opens the door to horrifying things that go on everywhere. I think that is both a good thing - for access of information, and a bad thing - for the glorification of media attention on negative happenings.

The Jonestown suicide was another huge thing. Their leader forced everybody to commit suicide.

I've seen pictures and listened to audio stuff from that event that is quite horrible. I would suggest not googling because it's very NSFL
