not sure if givin points for winning belts and gp and stuff is so much a good idea anymore. rewards are good but now its just the best guys winning belts over and over again and they get more and more points same with gran pris. donno what we can do instead of points for those but points is like giving rich people money for winning richest man of the year awards ya know??? maybe just give people more points for posting or more points in dreaft or at end of season for being on the site for a season or something??? just an observation from who wins nd who keewps gettin better.

I would like some sort of reward for people to get excited about, but I can totally see where you are coming from with this.

Exactly. If they want better teams they should be more active to get more points.

I think we should award Bulldozer on his activity.. like maybe 100 post per points considering half his post are the middle finger and the other half jennifer lawrence.. just food for thought..

yes but if we take the point systems out no one will ever beat those guys and also thier is a cap from preventing a fighter from being too great.. We're definitely not taking the whole point system out. I don't believe that was what he was suggesting though. I understood it to mean just taking out the 1 point for winning a belt and the 3 for winning the Grand Prix. I'm open to dropping those, but I don't want to take out any of these ones: - You receive 1 point for forum posts - You recieve 1 point each time you reach a new member rank. - You receive 1 point for winning a fight predicting challenge. - You receive 5 points for every member you bring to the site* - You receive a negotiable amount of point(s) for doing jobs around the site. These rewards currently vary based on the amount of work and time required for the job(s) you do. Those are valuable. I don't really want to change up the posts per points too much, but now that Cannon's doing all of that I will talk with him in the off-season and see what he is comfortable keeping track of.

I agree... however I also agree that it seems like the same people are winning all the time.. if you win things.. other people should get a bonus to catch up. maybe allow more of a bonus at end of season to teams that do badly in the season? I dunno just trying to add something to the conversation.

i'm suggesting an increased value on top of what was started last season.

What if we made the first three picks of the draft be worth 3 points each. That way, a team could feasible acquire immediately 3 points instead of making a selection. That's a nice boost, is it not?
OR
Weight the value of the top 3 picks based on activity. So if a member has under a certain amount of % of posts.
For example. If the top member has 10,000 points and has the 2nd overall selection AND The first overall selection goes to a member with 2500 posts, he has 25% the amount of points as the top member.
So the first overall pick is worth 3 or 4 points while the 2nd overall pick, because of post-counts and likelihood of acquiring points much faster, has a draft pick that is only worth 2 points.
