#gaprinning!
Also, maybe it's just because of the amount of accessible music to basically everyone now, but I can remember like 1994 and being 8 years old and going through all my parents music and record collection (until it got destroyed in a flood), and finding music I enjoyed, and discovering that there was such thing as music in the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s.
Not sure if it's just because I was THAT much into music and learning what my likes and dislikes were, or if every kid kind of went through the "let's research music" phase. But perhaps Bulldozers' not knowing of humongous 90s hits is due to the oversaturation of the music market today, and how everyone just youtubes stuff with music videos or something?
Very curious.
Anyone have a story of a random band or song they just kind of fell upon and loved or dug for or something? I have some great little stories to share if others are down for sharing as well.

Were it not for WWF Monday Night Raw, I would probably never would have heard of Rammstein.
Watched Raw religiously in the late 90s and early 2000s. There kept being this strange commercial on that all I remember of is it kept saying "Rammstein. Mutter". I was like, what the fuck is this? Popped into Napster (yes!), and grabbed a few songs. Loved them. Searched for every Rammstein thing ever. Loved.
To this day, Rammstein is the only band I day-1 blind buy CDs and DVDs of. They put on the absolute best concert I have ever been to and are basically God. Were it not for Napster and Limewire, who knows what I would be listening to now. Maybe Justin Bieber.

I seen a few live performances by Rammstein but not a full set. I may need to get on that immediately.

The bastards only come to North American like, twice every 5 years or something. And often its just to play a festival or something in Montreal. I got to see them in Toronto for a full set, and had I known how awesome it was going to be, I very well may have got tickets and hopped on a bus to see them in Montreal, where they were playing the following night. #CanadaRammsteinGroupie

I'm the same way about Coheed, except they play every two years. The last show I caught last month was unreal, and made me remember why I'm such a mega-fan. Very intimate. Best concert they have done to date. I will die loving that band.

I am same with Rammstein. It's the same type of love you have for a wife, or children. They are just awesome and it transcends just music.

Yes, very weird. I try explaining that connection I have to Coheed to Steph, and she has told me a few times that she wishes she could be that passionate about something. She finds it weird that I can love that much for a band. I barely get excited about most things in life, but Coheed and hockey get my like insanely giddy.
