ASMR is calledAutonomous sensory meridian response As per wikipedia: Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) is a neologism for a perceptual phenomenon characterized as a distinct, pleasurable tingling sensation in the head, scalp, back, or peripheral regions of the body in response to visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory, or cognitive stimuli. The nature and classification of the ASMR phenomenon is controversial, with a considerable cult following and strong anecdotal evidence to support the phenomenon but little or no scientific explanation or verified data. It's basically like certain sound frequencies and receptors that your brain signals interpret as relaxing and comforting. Like, the feeling you get when you sit in a warm bath as a kid and those tingling sensations rush up through your body and your brain. It's basically a brain-gasm. A lot of people can't really get this feeling, but there's a good chunk of the population that can. And there's certain things that work and things that don't. Put on a pair of headphones, close your eyes and watch the vid below. That's one that triggers many people who can experience ASMR.
