Be it resolved that batman is the greatest. Batman has neat gadgets which counter his need for a super-power or mutant power. Batman is really a Billionaire. Batman can fight good.. even in a bulky rubber suit. is summary.. Batman is great. (oh and batman has his own line of video games)

Same with Superman. Superman's family and planet are dead. He just has some humans he surrounds himself with. Which makes him exactly the same as Batman. A loner who has people close to him who are not family. Difference is, Batman cannot fly around the world to make time reverse itself if those people die in a way he doesn't like. Batman cannot fly, see through walls, etc. He has human limitations. He has human strength. He can lose a fistfight.

Batman also has grey areas. Superman is all good and justice and "the American way". Batman is human and understands the world. Superman is a foreigner.

(I did not compare Batman here with X-men or Spiderman as I personally find them all boring so I know little about their history, mythology, etc - other then they are superheros who have basically no limits on what they can do, thus BORING)

Without the suit, he's nothing. Without the gear, Batman is still a martial arts expert. That counts for something.
