I am biased cause it's existence and Norm's generosity give me free PPVs and old WWE any time. But yeah....Mae Young gave birth to a hand... There is honestly nothing worse in the history of WWE. Although I remember being really weirded out by that whole, "Kei En Tai kidnapping Val Venis then kinda cutting off his penis then it kinda turned out he didn't cause he was saved by a power outtage and its like....yeah, The Attitude Era....You had to be there.

Oh the opposite is true. We just talk about the bad, but there is so, so much good. Most of which I seem to remember through classic JR quotes.
"Tyson! Tyson! Tyson Right hand!"
"Oh my God that killed him! As God as my witness, he's broken in half!"
"The Austin Era has begun!"
And so on.

How I remember the entire Attitude era summed up in a single gif: No fucks were given by all and fans ate it up.

I feel like I came into my appreciation like right as D-X was ending, and then left right after the Rock and Austin had their go, like basically when Angle started to become a big thing and then Jericho's fucking "you can't beat him for 11 months" thing really annoyed him. I tapped out at Benoit. I didn't give any shit about his stupid leg lock and he seemed to be an asshole.

Do wrestlers still die as often now as they had in the 90s? I wonder if somehow the quality of life has improved, despite constantly being on the road for public and house shows.

According to some it has... according to others, it hasn't. We'll see once this current batch is pushing their 40's and 50's. I mean, other than Verne Gagne the other day, I think the last one was Sean O'Haire last year, but that was an apparent suicide, I believe.

No, because of all those deaths, they do have drug testing now; the 'roids aren't as prevalent as they were up to around the late '90s. They're mostly used now for healing purposes in some injuries and not generally for physique enhancement.
