Hockey stuff is where my collecting obsession started. I guess I have 2 other hockey things that I think are kinda cool - again, moreso personal cool then universally cool. 1) I have my first goalie stick, the one I used when I played my first hockey games ever - I got that signed by goalies any chance I could for a while. It's kinda retired now, but it's currently signed by Ron Tugnutt, Craig Billington, Dave Dorsh (an Orillia goalie who I liked), Johnny Bower and Gump Worsley. 2) I have a piece of wood signed by Eric Lindros. My dad worked as a cabinet-maker, and Eric's dad put a custom-order for some cabinet or dresser or something. Anyways, Eric came to help pick it up and my dad and his co-worker wanted to get an autograph. One of them (or Eric or his dad, I don't remember who) just said, "Why not a hunk of wood". I have that and it's cool because its just a random piece of wood lol. Worthless to the world, but priceless to me

The wood thing is really cool.
I have an Eric Lindros CHL card in a glass case. I also have the 1990 (I think) Russian World Junior team photo collectible cards album, which features Mogilny, Bure and I think someone else effective, possible Federov.

I love the Mogilny Bure Fedorov era. Loved those guys. I miss 1993

Same. Different times before 9.11 and we all know what 9.11 eventually brought to all of us right?
You guessed it. Two fucking lockouts. THANKS A LOT TERRORISTS!

Yeahhh, the lockouts are assholes. There was a time when I could say, "The only time there was no Cup champion in hockey was when people's lives were on the line" and scoff at baseball twerps. Now, its like..."Yeah...we're no better than you #THXGaryBettman"

I was the last to comment here... ah well. I was asked about some neat things that I might own. My wife and I went to the 400 market two weekends ago and got this neat metal skull on a shield with two swords going through it. It's about a foot and a half wide, and the swords are real and very freaking sharp. I also have this cool collage portrait of all the important gangsters in film history. We have 14 minimalistic metal movie posters, a miniature shark head statue in honor of jaws, a neat french shoe statue in honor of Les Mis, and a kit cat clock, because it is awesome. I got two collages of gangster film at the 400 market too one similiar too this and a scarface collage all black and whit i cant find i think i p[aid 40 each for them

I have this one framed in my storage: It was always one of my favorites. I've also got framed/autographed posters of Collective Soul, Bush and a Ryan Smyth autographed poster as well.

I watched three criterions this weekend (thanks Justin!):
The Darjeeling Limited Being John Malkovich Jules et Jim
Not sure what I expected with Jules et Jim. I think I was hoping for more of a romance or something, not necessarily about specifically the main characters, but it was alright. Just a tad crazy, but well done for it's time.
the other two... how the fuck have I waited this long to watch them?!

I feel like Wes Anderson is kinda meh. Being John Malkovich is such a delightfully bizarre movie. I remember seeing it when it came out and being like...."WHaaaaaaaaaaaaat did I just watch". Rewatching, I think I enjoyed it more. I think the first time I was taken aback by how depressing and dark it actually was, since I thought it would be a silly light strange romp type thing. It's almost that, but it's also serious and so much more.

I'm a massive fan of Eternal Sunshine, so it's nice to go back a few years and see that the same mentality went into another fun and intriguing flick like BJM.
As for Wes Anderson, I have yet to watch a movie of his that I don't like. While he's close with Noah Baumbach, I didn't really care for While We're Young, which I checked out recently. It's very, almost ignorant of hipsterism and just assumes "oh, yeah, they'd do that" through most of that film.
Much of Wes Anderson's stuff kind of hits home for me on a lot of fronts - mostly my sibling rivalry growing up, and I see that quite a bit in his work.
