These two are both sooo strong defensively that a decision was probably a foregone conclusion. Fuji’s ground game (submissions esp) was on a different level and she was able to convince the judges her very, very aggressive ground game was enough to earn her the win, despite neither woman doing much real damage. I don;t think any fighter dropped below 80% health at any point in time. A different kind of good fight – like watching 2 chess masters play to a stalemate. Interesting, but probably unsatisfying in the end.

These two are both sooo strong defensively that a decision was probably a foregone conclusion. Fuji’s ground game (submissions esp) was on a different level and she was able to convince the judges her very, very aggressive ground game was enough to earn her the win, despite neither woman doing much real damage. I don;t think any fighter dropped below 80% health at any point in time. A different kind of good fight – like watching 2 chess masters play to a stalemate. Interesting, but probably unsatisfying in the end.
