Prologue Right now, for men based on that list, the top 25 fighters cap at 85 (ranks 1-25), the next 25 cap at 84 (ranks 26-50), and the next 50 cap at 83 (51-100). Everyone else caps at 81.
For women, the cap is 78 across the board.
Suggestion I suggest the following fine-tuning to that structure:
For men, if someone has won a UFC or Pride championship belt, and they are not ranked in the top 100, they move up to a cap of 82.
For women, if someone has won a UFC or Strikeforce championship belt, their cap increases to 79.
Stipulations/Limitations I would suggest be that the following NOT be included: - interim champions - Grand Prix/Tournament champions
Disclosure This is probably the first suggestion I came up with inspired entirely by my feelings as a team manager, rather then administrator. Conor McGregor is currently capped at 81, and will take a while to be updated on the top 100 list we used, based on how it works. So this would obviously affect him, but it would also boost Luke Rockhold, Chris Weidman, TJ Dillashaw, Rafael dos Anjos, etc, etc. Not to mention several women.
Thoughts?

Would this only be for UFC and Pride belts, or would other promotions count as well (Belator, Strikeforce, WEC, Invicta).
Ex. Murphy and Cyborg both held the title for Invicta, but not UFC. Would they be part of the 79, or remain at 78?

Personally, I have no problem with the change. If you were good enough to win a title, chances are, you should be in the top 100 (as 49/58 men were). It's only 9 men and 8 women. I give it a thumbs up.

Thumbs up here as well, I like it, especially after that list was posted to see some of the fighters affected, and I like how much its spread out.

I don't see too many problems with it. Gives people more options to use their points.

I totally didn't realize Weidman and Rockhold were C-fighters. Interesting. Thanks for the list, Bullies.

Something I didn't mention but that I guess was implied - I would include in the suggestion this also includes future titles. So, for example, if Cerrone beats dos Anjos on the 19th, he would get the boost too. (And so on).

I like the idea on principle on the men's side for sure. I'd like to suggest this for the women though:
For women, their cap increases to 79 and if someone has won a UFC, Strikeforce or Invicta championship belt, their cap increases to 81.
The reason I suggest this is:
1) I've been wanting a different cap scale for all the women for some time now and if it's simply an adjustment like this, then so be it, but there are champions such as Cyborg, possibly Rousey, Holm, etc. that could actually hang with the men in a fight and bringing them up to the men's minimum gives them that bit of equality if they have been a champion.
2) It gives everyone a bit more room to expand their women's fighters and it'll create better fights in both women's divisions as a whole, but specifically for the fighters that are currently at cap.
3) Invicta should be included with UFC & Strikeforce, just for the simple reason that they were the first after Strikeforce folded to put WMMA on the map and were the premiere place to see quality WMMA when Uncle Dana & the UFC outright refused to have WMMA on their programming for so long. If it wasn't for the success of Invicta, we still wouldn't have WMMA in the UFC.

We're now discussing two different suggestions at once. I'll break my reply down into parts to keep it clean.
Part 1: Women's cap across the board I am still not on board with a women's cap increase in general, mostly being that they still fight differently then the men in many cases and we are right on the cusp of losing that. The way they fought at first was very female-fighter, so that was kinda cool. Now there is already little to differentiate between elite women and men.
Secondly, on that same note, we would STILL be increasing the discrepancy of the average or lower tier women and the upper tier. What we are doing has been working great, and in another season or two we'll have much more parity and can look at increasing all women. But we are only just seeing the division start to level out (and only a little bit) just now.
Part 2: Including Invicta in this suggestion Simply put, no. Invicta is still a minor league for UFC. For a while, Strikeforce was the only legit/mainstream place women could win a belt. Since Invicta has more belts then the beach has sand, I'm not really cool including them. Furthermore, since their best fighters move up to the UFC, you basically get a bunch of second-tier fighters fighting for the belts the real fighters left behind when they went up. In essence, an Invicta belt is meaningless. I think the fact that only 3 women have ever defended an Invicta belt kinda proves that.

In essence, an Invicta belt is meaningless. I think the fact that only 3 women have ever defended an Invicta belt kinda proves that. Part 1 (a): That's a cop out and you know it. The women don't fight any differently than the men do because the simulator doesn't differentiate by gender; according to the simulator, they're all men. Part 1 (b): As long as we'll be looking at it in the near future, that's fine. I completely disagree that it's been working that great though. We really haven't seen that much of a shift. There's a couple of new faces in the elite ranks that are finally winning titles now, but it's still virtually the same cast of characters. Part 2: Simply put, you're 100% wrong. UFC might be the premiere league of all MMA, but UFC & Strikeforce only have/had literally 2 women's divisions. Period. And that's not all encompassing when that only covers 3 weight classes total and we have atleast 4-5 weight classes jammed into 2 ManMMA divisions. The Flyweights & Atomweight champions are just left off that list of great fighters simply because they don't/didn't have weight classes in UFC or Strikeforce, which is bullshit. Gals like Barb Honchak, Katja Kankaanpää, Livia Renata Souza, Ayaka Hamasaki, etc. deserve better than that since they are/were elite fighters and champions IRL. It's not only Featherweights, Bantamweights & Straw weights that are elite fighters in this world. Even if you're only taking into account the Invicta Flyweights & Atomweights, that atleast would make sense.
