The purpose of this post is to see who is still paying attention. It's all in good fun, but if you reply, you get a point. It's kind of like a Christmas/New Years bonus I guess.

So, your job is to reply here with something other than a 1-2 word nothing-post or a picture. None of that. Write a reply, in words, whether it's something on your mind, something you saw, something you are doing, something that happened, something you are wondering about, thoughts that occured to you, what you do at work/school, - anything at all. Just no arguments, no contextless gifs/pics, and no "I'm here" or "yay free point". This is not the thread to vent about members, or anything else related to the site. Happy anecdotes and Donald Trump bitching are okay. Any subsequent discussions are encouraged too, but again this is not to be a bitch-fest about who should get points for paying $10 to use the internet while in Cuba, for example.


But yeah, just do that and pow - free point for you! I might even give one of those points I still have left over from the Grand Prix to the person who contributes the most interesting or likable contribution to this thread - assuming anyone replies at all. Time will tell.

My wife and I keep discussing the possibility of taking a Florida trip before we have kids, so we can enjoy Universal Studios, and I had to tell her to stop mentioning it (because she's excited at the prospect of it) because every person that hears her talk about it has invited themselves on the trip. Not sure why other people think that's alright to do, but it's been really annoying.

I've been using my winter break to recover from the stress of college. Strongly regretting deciding to get a degree in Chemical Engineering, as the classes are ripping me apart. I go back in about two weeks with a whole new schedule. Wish me luck.

I do wish you luck and just know that what you're studying is important for the planet. Stay focused, and keep pressing forward and in a few years you'll look back and understand that it was all worth it. All of the sweat, and pain, and exhaustion. And when you have a job, and you're involved in making things better, you'll be able to look at everyone around you who is struggling to maintain employment and understand that you took the right path.

I was hit with the stomach flu after avoiding it for the past 2 weeks. I have to work on my International Business Culminating but I can't stare at any type of screen for more than 5 minutes without the urge to puke. The culminating was due today so I'm gonna have to make an explanation as to why I'm not done a day later. SOS I've been sleeping all day and I feel like I'm gonna die. Maybe it's my appendix because my lower right side is hurting but then again it's been hurting for the past week and a bit. If anybody knows what it is please tell me. Also if this paragraph doesn't make sense it's because I'm super drowsy from all the sleeping I've been doing. Peace out homies.

so I work at a retirement home and we currently have a few people with the flu. Now we have protocols for flu breakouts, but we do not actually have a flu breakout- just a few people with the flu. but my director is new, and all anxious about this shit and has basically cancelled all my programming and plans to do it again tomorrow. Meanwhile, I am getting all my paperwork done, but hating my day to day a little bit more. Turns out if I don't actually get to hang out with the people I don't really like my job

so i was in cuba recently but the resort was an hour away from town(holguin) and a cab would have costed me 80 converted pesos = 120-130 cad 2 go mingle with the locals, tho i did go to town and split the cab 4 ways one day but was an excursion of 11 of us. there was alot of beggars in town which is frustration getting begged for change in a language you don't even understand.. all in all was a good trip came back with a few key chains mugs a shirt 4 paintings one of marilyn monroe. lotta first for me on this trip like flying which wasnt so bad on way back got over my fear of heights i guess u could say, tried lobster its good, tho i never really got drunk there they make the drinks strong with alcohol but the mixes weren't the greatest and the food wasn't the best either.. The ocean was mehhh very friggen salty like sumone pouring salt on your lips..

I'm sorta paying attention... just slow on responding though kinda been that way through the holidays.

I've had a tonne of bad stuff happening lately.. who else believes that karma will even things out soon? Some of the bad stuff includes:

My house needs a new roof
Our car broke down and needed repairs
My kitten needed to go to the vet (she's ok)
I locked the keys in my wife's car
My cat ate our Christmas turkey and we had to replace on Christmas eve.
And family of a bunch of my friends have been dying.

Hope I have built up enough bad Karma so I can win the lotto with the good karma that should be comming
