i also like how garth was ahead of his time with his video "the thunder rolls" and was pulled off the air because it showed domestic violence but eminem video now shows him n rhianna burning down a friggen house..

Sorry I can't post a link to my songs but...
1. Changes by black sabbath.. this song although depressing it has gotten me through a lot of depressing times in my life. And when my life isn't going so well all I do is listen to that song on repeat until I feel better.
2. Whatever by Godsmack.. this song is my strength song. When I was crashing on my friends couches after becoming homeless.. this was the song that allowed me to not care about what people thought and get my head in a better space.
3. Have I told you lately by Rod Stewart.. This was my wedding song. My wife had gone through a rough time with medical stuff and I had been dealing with a flood in our apartment at the same time. And this was our song to remind each other that no matter what we go through we will go through it together and we will be happy to help each other along the way... because we love each other.
Sorry if my selections are depressing.

Had a friend drown shortly before my graduation from High School, and this song got me through it and re-evaluate my own definition of the meaning of life. Essentially that while things are cool and interesting and you can define yourself for who you are as a person, you're only temporary. Depressing, sure. But it kind of made me appreciate everything just a little bit more.

What's interesting about the song? Despite its obvious urge for people suffering from depression to get through their horrible moments and appreciate the strength you have for surviving those moments, others thought the song was written as a dedication to guitarist Daron Malakian's brother who died in a fire - hence, all the fire shots in the music video. Sadly, for those who believed that story, they didn't bother to check and see that Daron is an only child.
