if people have a list of ranked fighters (a,b,c) to chose from what in the fuck is this league needed for? why do i have to name a fighter to have last person place team 2 draft them? if they do thier own mma research thiers no fucking point to this... You don't HAVE to do anything. You've misunderstood something here. No one is forcing you to choose or name your secret picks. You can keep doing what you are doing and just pick whomever you want come draft. If you WANT to see how someone would perform, you CAN have them participate in ManNXT. If you don't want anyone to know who you are taking, you don't have to do anything at all. Just sit back and blind-draft your person at the draft. That is perfectly fine. ok than if outcome is predetermined by weight, and ranking system whats point?

Corrections: - Weight doesn't necessarily play that much of a factor, especially on catch-weight fights. - Ranking has only ever affected potential - not how good someone will be when they come into the league.
Answer to your question: - To give people an idea of HOW fighters will perform, what they might need to work on, and how well they perform against other fighters.

Ever thought of having an Ultimate Fighter start-off style where fighters would have to fight for a spot in the season rosters, or would that be too much more work to be done?

Do you mean fighters already on people's roster in ManMMA, or non-ManMMA draftable prospects?

Fighters who are eligible to be in ManNXT. They can have qualifying fights, and then we can determine rosters with those sets of fighters for the season.

So you mean like, if I had a list of 32 fighters for ManNXT, they would all fight before the season started, with winners going on to ManNXT, and losers...not?

Yes, that's what I'm asking if you've considered.

I hadn't, but to be honest it seems like a large extra step just to see who ends up in the minor leagues. It might also limit people who want to see someone have a few minor league fights. They lose their "into the house" fight by cut, fluke, flash finish, etc, you don't really get a good picture of what they can (or can not) do.

cant believe were doing this fukn dumb idea.. its hard nuff 2 get 1 regular sim a week..and phx and sandmen have like 30 ppl and dont needs drafts.. 1) This is why I maxed out the fights per ManNXT at 5, decided not to do commentary, and am letting someone else do the match-making. WHat takes so long with ManMMA events is there are 16 events, teams have equal representation, there are title fights (that require extra set up), there are points to process, format to deal with, etc etc. None of that is a factor with ManNXT. 2) Sandmen has 17 fighters - the exact same number of fighters as you. Pheonix has 22. Since I've been booking fighters to have even-representation on each card (about 3 fighters per team per card), his team size has absolutely no affect on you or your team WHATSOEVER. 3) ManNXT does not impact the number of fighters or draft picks a team will have. It just fleshes out the options. Teams will still have 2 rounds of draft, 2 picks per round. So the size of teams or your judgement of a teams "need for more picks" is again meaningless and has no impact on you or the league in any way at all.
