So I created my own Youtube channel cause I'm trying to do the Steve Dangle thing of starting on Youtube and then getting hired by a big company like Sportsnet lol. Can y'all give me some love and tell me what I can do differently to make my videos better. Love you My first video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=BoQ8M2P8Gyw

Don't open with sighing and pounding on the table, you sigh a lot and it makes me feel disappointed. There's already enough people out there complaining about the Leafs. Be positive, maybe create lists, try and do a bit of like production on it maybe?

Constructive criticism: 1) Pick a specific focus of the entire video, not an 11 summary covering a bunch of games, circumstances, and observations. Also, you might want a script, or some plan like that to keep you on track, focused, and have a natural flow, rather than appearing like a dude who popped up his cam and bitched about the leafs. 2) If you want to be a YouTuber, find something unique about you or your perspective and AMP IT WAY THE FUCK UP. If you are making some sort of SportsNet audition tape, toss in some clips and actually analyze plays, situations, or line-ups. Show us evidence of what you are talking about. Don't just be some bloke on youtube talking to his camera. 3) If you want to go viral, cry. Or tell a fucked up story. While crying (like...that one sim site story...involving.......you know). 4) Sign off faster. Pick a "trademark" sign off, make it unique, and stick to it. When you tell me to have a good night, good weekend, and stay beautiful, it starts to sound like you are a dude on YouTube who doesn't really wanna stop talking but just ran out of shit to say. 5) Start and end your videos with something that stands out - a punch of some sort. Typically I would not really say this about the start, but with YOuTube, people will just close the video after a couple seconds if its boring. Do something big in the first 10 seconds until you get like, 10,000 subscribers. Then you can reel that back in. If it were me, I would start every video with... "Lemme tell you a story" then I would make an analogy (either serious or absurd, but amusing - "Lemme tell you a story. In high school there was this kid. Everyone hated this kid, but he did well in school. No matter how much people beat the shit out of him, or brought him down, when it came to report cards, he scored and he scored big. Now let me tell you...The toronto maple leafs are not that kid." Except it would be good, and probably be about a girbil instead... this was an off-the-cuff babble, but you get the idea. SOMETHING consistent, but interesting for viewers early. 6) Say something unique, something I have not heard before. Don't make a video because you are bored, or because you "decided to make a video". Make one because you have something to say, damnit, and no one else is saying it! (Then back that shit up with video evidence). 7) Name your show or video something FAR more interesting than Toronto Maple Leafs Summary. ZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzz. 8) If you are trying to sell yourself and use your name as the channel and stuff, introduce yourself at the beginning or something? Or name your show. Or close with your name. Or call your show "Lean Mean Jellybean Joubran". And introduce it as such. And sign off as such.
General comments - Your voice, pitch, inflection etc was very good. Sometimes people mutter or read too much, or are inconsistent volume-wise. You did well on that front. I did not have a problem with the signing, though about 50% of all videos on YouTube (especially sports commentary ones), probably start that way. - Hitting the desk would not be as big of a problem if it didn't shake the camera around and sound like a hurricane. If you pull the audio of the desk-punch down in editing, I can probably handle the wobble, but with a loud bang and camera shake, its too much. - Not bad at all for a first video, but if it was your 100th, I might be sad.

Thanks I have an idea already that would give me a good video and I would have content ready for it. I'm gonna start a series where I'll talk about each Leaf player (from oldest to youngest) and what I'm expecting from each of them. Now I'm just trying to think of a name for it. How does that sound?

Now my series will come in and there will hopefully be more entertainment lol.

So I can tell the future lol. Immediately after I finished my video yesterday the Leafs claimed Ben Smith, Waived Michalek to the minors and put Brown with Kadri and Komarov. In my video I said to put Michalek on the 4th line and to put Brown on the 1st line. Not fully right but pretty damn close lol.

Good for you for trying this. Think about your production value... You can sit around and play with where you place extra lighting etc on the days when you don't know what to say.
