I thought all of our fighters were supposed to have a minimum of 3 fights per season? I had at least 4 fighters who only had 2 fights.

Why did gurgel have 5 fights when she was 1-4 for the season.. i thought it was the fighters who win that mostly get more fights. I just looked and most of my not so good fighters fought more.. with exceptions to evans and fedor who did decent this season. How did i make it in gp? Im confused.

You made the Grand Prix because Ferocity, who was #7, didn't send in a list, so you, being #9, got bumped up and into the GP.

Okay, so there are a lot of questions with a lot of complicated answers here. So buckle up 1) The goal is 3-4 fights per fighter per season. I do everything I can to make that happen in a way that makes sense with the other 5-6 variables that I have to consider when booking fights. 2) I don't remember if 3 fights per fighter per team per season was guaranteed when we had 12 teams, but it was probably close. When we got another team, I was no longer able to do a clean "3 fights per team per card", and the additional fighters brought down the "per fighter" numbers a little bit. 3) I don't have a detailed history of my decision-making when it comes to fights over the course of a season. There are times when a fighter simply does not have an opponent, or times when his only opponent will be someone drastically out of their league (for example, I may have had the change to put Gonzaga in a fight, but it may have been against someone like Brock or Cain who would annihilate him. When I make these matches, people complain about mismatches, so I have since just waited until an opponent who makes sense became available. Again, I cannot really explain the process specifically, since it is over the course of several months in the past, but generally, that is what happens. 4) Keeping #3 in mind (that it's hard for me to speculate on why decisions were made 4 months ago when booking fights for 13 teams and 200 fighters), I can see Gurgel lost a tournament fight, then since she was still highly ranked, she was put into the next tournament - she won that fight, then lost her contender fight. Then, once AGAIN, because of her high ranking she was put into the NEXT tournament. She lost, bringing her to 1-3. Then, since all the best fighters are on Zenith, she fought on Zenith (again, still being a top-ranked fighter) and lost that, bringing her to 1-4. YOu did not have a lot of highly ranked fighters to choose from to make the Zenith card, and you were the only team with an unranked fighter on the card. 5) Jon Jones would have fought at Zenith, but got injured. 6) When it comes to better fighters, often I have to sit better fighters for an event or two after they are scheduled to fight so they can be put into a tournament. I operate under the assumption people want a title opportunity more than a meaningless fight, and schedule/book accordingly. 7) You have the second-largest team on ManMMA. By that nature, you are going to have among the most fighters with the fewest fights. 8) Bullies answered the GP question. I hope I covered everything, there was a lot there

Speaking of Ferocity who didn't submit her GP list... I must once again remind folks that The Mighty Ducks might have been on to something lol
