Alright so the WWE simulation was brought up and I've spoken to Sandmen about it and we're both intrigued but there needs to be a discussion on how to do it as it would be new to everyone.
So, let's say all of a sudden there's a WWE simulation site and you're a part of it.
-What do you do as a member? -Do you run a team of superstars, including one pair of tag-team members? -Do you write your own story lines by having another member commit to your experience? -Do you ask that the simulators create the story lines? -Should there be story lines? -Should there be contracts involved? -Should it all be about winners move on for championships and streaks are necessary or is it purely based on highest intrigue? -Should the site be more run by members than by the simulators? -Can you make trades? -Should there be a draft or first come first served? -Do you want the usual Royal Rumble/Battle Royals, Summer Slam Elimination matches? -Primarily, what do you want to get out of it as a member to enjoy it to its full capacity?
Now's your chance to really chime in. If we go forward with this, we want to know if you're interested and what you'd like to see.
Please post if you are interested and what you'd like to see on this sim site if we create it.

Okay so here is how I see it:
- WWE is ALL story. Thus there must be storylines.
- Each "month" there are 3 Raw and 3 Smackdown followed by a PPV. Each show can be done every 2 days, while there is a 3 day between the last show and the PPV.
- I think it would be cool to select a real WWE/F manager, and you build a stable. Whether it be the reformation of DegenerationX... OR the return of the 4 horseman (both adding a manger). Or you can build up a fresh new stable between Big Show, Andre the Giant and Hornswoggle.
- Although match cards should be made by "Mr. McMahon" the rivalries and guess should be made by the managers and wrestlers.
- I think overalls should be realistic to begin with, so Santino isn't a 99 overall unless his manager is EXTREMELY DEDICATED to him and builds him up huge.
It could be cool to have two simmers, known as General Managers, who after all the stables are built, drafts superstars to RAW and Smackdown and can make 2 trades a "year"
That's my thoughts, I think this could be really neat

Another possibility, stemming from the above suggestions, is drafting the teams, then letting the GMs do absolutely whatever they want for a week (trash talk, kidnap another team's fighter's dog, call their girlfriends trash - whatever managers can think of. Then as this goes on, "Mr. McMahon" books the PPV based on the week (or 2 weeks) happenings. So the "Raws/Smackdowns" don't have matches, PER SAY, but they have all the drama managers can think of. Then the real meat comes at the PPV that happens once every 2 weeks (or once a week if teams can be active enough to stir up enough shit to get that many PPVs going).

Would get boring just trash talking for days... you need to have Raw/Smackdown fights IMO

It's not THAT people trash talk, it's HOW they trash talk. So thye storylines you were talking about, those would be the trash talk. It's not "I wanna beat you down" it's:
"Triple H shows up at Undertaker's house at 3am. While undertaker is sleeping, HHH takes taker's motorcycle for a joyride, then leaves it parked in times square to be towed and ticketed. He then returns to Takers house and beats the shit out of him while he sleeps."
"Chyna is talking to Brutus Beefcake. Suddenly, Luna walks up from behind her, and puts her in a full nelson. Luna's teammate Giant Gonzales clubs Brutus with a chair. Brutus is taken away in an ambulance"
or whatever the fuck you can come up with.

Exactly. You're allowed to use other people's stories into it, and if that ppv it's not addressed, it might come about in the next one. There can be multiple story-lines, but it's up to you to create them. It can't be on us doing all of it because at that point we might as well just create a real wrestling league if we're going to commit that much time to storylines.

We might as well just add wrestlers in this site if you are only doing a "ppv".
It will get old very fast if there is just 1 sim every week, and even worse every 2 weeks....

What will there be to do for teams if someone like Mike or I just write fricken storylines all the time, then set up the matches?

you don't write the storylines.... we can still create our own feuds, but there can still be RAW and Smackdown shows every 2 days....
The matches on Raw and Smackdown don't have to be in line with the rivalries. They help start new rivalries or progress them, but the managers still have to create rivalries and build up their wrestlers popularity on their own in order to get title shots.

At its core, though, that's pretty much what I said though. But with more simming. But it doesn't really allow for cool things like match interference. If we have to sim "Raw", then its not really like managers can have guys do much on it. It's almost like the feuding would go on between the Raws/Smackdowns.
Now if we had an active crew, what would be really neat is if you could somehow message the simmers letting him/them know you would like to send a guy into a match and interfere. Then its kind of like both.
Just tossing all ideas I have out there, but the OTHER other thing we could do is make it like (hear me out) dungeons and dragons, where there is no actual simming in a traditional sense, but just matchmaking, fight/story developing, and results. So a guy with no team is the Fight Master, he posts Raws/Smackdowns, you PM stuff to him ("I want HHH to interfere in Undertakers match this week") and he writes up the results. Lots of work, but as I said, just throwing everything into the laundry to see what comes out clean on the other side.

Very very cool idea, sandmen. If people like this idea, I would volunteer to be the person that drafts up the event happenings.

Okay, time to bring this up again, because I found a simulator (where I don't decide a winner) that we can use, but the problem would be the point allocation and stuff.
Without totally revealing the simulator, here's what I know of it.
- You create a wrestler with a Name, Gender, Weight Class, Wrestling Style - There'd be base stats, I don't know of what. - There's types of wrestlers you can be; Highflyer to Power types. - Points Allocated would be the following: HP, 4 Unique Moves and their damage points, Submission Defenses, A signature move and its damage, finisher and its damage. - Simulation can be quite wonky, as the winner can beat their opponent as fast as 2 seconds (Did a test match with Andre vs. Big Show, Andre just pinned him and won.) - I'd have to take away the Knock-Out option as a win, because the match would end without a pinfall, but then the wrestler will perhaps use 3 finishers or more before the pin. - Luckily, there is a match log I can use, but we would have to find either our own commentators or ones in real life. - It's from the makers of this MMA Simulator, so if we needed another simmer, it would be easy for Sandmen or PFC to find.
I wouldn't mind creating something like this. I even have some real-life wrestlers if, when your wrestler becomes too good, can challenge such guys as John Cena, CM Punk or The Undertaker. I'm still trying to test out some matches, because I want to make sure this is good.

I kinda like the dungeons and dragons type angels myself. with wrestlers having 'cards' that can be played by the manager based on the situation ect. Upon saying that, I have almost no interest in wrestling as I am #1 over 12 years old, #2 do not have any significant mental disability and #3 think that if it's about the story they should damn well be better actors.
