Well holy shit... The Falcons choked so hard... the only person that could blow that kind of lead is Hillary Clinton No, but seriously the Patriots had one hell of a comeback, and I think most of us can agree Tom Brady is the GOAT.

I watched the last 4 minutes of regulation, then the overtime.
My biggest take-away from the whole thing - Overtime rules in football are STUPID. How does only one team get a chance at offence? Imagine if that shit applied to something like baseball, or shootouts in hockey? Ruined it for me.

I would have preferred if it was just a complete overtime period. basically, the game sort of comes down to a final coin toss. win the toss, choose to attack first, likely to win.

It's kind of like that in Baseball.... there is a bottom of the 9th inning, and if they take the lead they automatically win, and the other team doesn't get another chance. Overtime rules are weird though.... each team gets one drive and it's sudden death, unless you kick a field goal, then the other team gets a shot.

No, baseball is nothing like that. The whole point of baseball is every team gets 9 offensive chances (unless they are the home team and they are ahead, then it is unnecessary). So if you are losing, you get 9 offensive chances. Period (forgetting shit like rain cancellations, etc).
In this case, one team got an offensive chance, based only on a coin toss, the other team did not, and that decided the game.

Best part is a guy from Las Vegas bet $1M that the Falcons would win.

At no point in the overtime were the Patriots on the defensive. 2 halves of the teams did not play the overtime. Only 1 team's offence and only 1 team's defence. That is not football. Football is a game of 2 halves, just like baseball. To not give equal opportunity is completely game-breaking.

Or each team get 1 drive and if still tied.. 1 more drive each

Cfl used to be the same as nfl. Sudden death... which in football is completely lame. Then cfl changed to make it so both teams get a chance to score

Which makes much more sense. Deciding the SuperBowl on a coin toss is BRUTAL.

Patriots still made history. There was like 10 records made in that game.
