this wasn't a suggestion on increasing how many points people can get, it was reducing it to those who are never here

How about you need a minimum of 100 posts in the week to reach 3 points? i think asking for 100 posts a week is too much, people are barley active as it is. Ive been here for a couple of months and still dont have 200 posts

the question came down simply to this:
do you guys think that the inactive members should get 1 point per week and everyone needs to reach a threshold of a certain amount of posts (maybe 10, maybe 20) to get the 2nd point each week?
This continues to give those who are active exactly what they are getting BUT giving the active folks an advantage by putting a minimum requirement to get the secondary point.
The third point per week is already earned by winning belts and predictors.

I definitely do not. You want a third point? Predict more.

Folks were pissed off at the number of points frequent posters were getting, now you want to reward it again? Make up your damn minds already... Atleast I spend my points and upgrade my fighters when I can and not up at 25-30 points all the time. It's fine the way it is... It'd simple and it's fair. Sorry if some folks are butt-hurt that I won't trade certain fighters... Get over it already. Folks sat there and bitched when I was active, and now folks are bitching cuz I'm not as active as I was. You'd think folks would be happy, but instead I'm still being targeted. Just fuck off already and leave alone. How hard is that?

I feel the following things: 1) I do not think it is unreasonable to expect people to do SOMETHING to earn their weekly salary (asking for a post or two each week for your free points is in no way unreasonable). You are getting free points for being a member of ManMMA. To do that...you kinda need to participate in ManMMA... 2) I do not have a problem with rewarding people who are active. But I'm not sure how to do that. We have point-awards at the end of the season, but those only reward 1 member. As xx - Team GAP said, though, this is part of the reason I randomly give points to everyone who predicted. Perhaps a solution is to do that a little more often? 3) PPP worked. No one liked it, no one liked keeping track of it, but it worked. People definitely posted more, replied more, and participated more. Just throwing that out there. Another thing we could do is people could start applying for jobs as "content providers". This "job" consists of you routinely posting new and interesting things that provoke discussion. Your season-end point payout is based on how much content you provide, and how effectively you start and maintain discussions and threads. This rewards quality over quantity, lets people choose if they want to contribute more, and has no impact on people who are happy-casuals.

the solution is fixed already Rocketmen doesnt want inactive people to get points; so if they have 15-25 points banked stop giving them damn points its really that simple.

I kind of like the idea of everyone having to post a new discussion thread per week. Regardless what it is, seeing other people share something or start a topic on something that interests them and perhaps educating others on said interest would be pretty cool.
